Answer: As noted on both CNN and MSNBC, Eric Cantor is what stock market followers call "short" on the nation's economy. In other words, despite his being on the Ways and Means Committee, he has BET AGAINST the economy (he will make BIG BUCKS if the U.S. economy fails). I'm wondering why this hasn't been brought up before the House Ethics Committee!
I remember Congressman Eric Cantor (R-VA) as the "American statesman" referred to by the Ayatollah of Iran during the demonstrations in Iraq over their disputed election results, the day before any violence had broken out towards the demonstrators. Our sitting president, our democratically elected President Obama, had decided upon a wise path of NEUTRALITY (endorsed by Republicans such as Senator Richard Lugar, General Colin Powell, Henry Kissinger, and many others) towards the civil unrest unfolding in Iran, but he also sent a carefully-worded letter assuring Iran's religious leader, the Ayatollah, that the United States was this time NOT involved in provoking the demonstrations and that we were not looking to do as we'd done in earlier years and overthrow the Iranian government. So what did arrogant TREASON-committing Eric Cantor do? He decided, DURING WAR-TIME, the use national television and deliberately GO AGAINST the President's neutrality policy position!!! He should have been put on trial. What Eric Cantor said for all to hear in his one-upsmanship effort to undermine President Obama's authority (an ACT OF TREASON, especially when this nation was at WAR with two Muslim nations at the time) is that he endorsed REGIME CHANGE! So the Ayatollah, speaking to a vast all-male Muslim audience in a Mosque in Iran, said to his audience, "I have this letter from the American President Barack Obama---a very good letter. But then this American statesman calls for regime change. Which am I to believe?" An immediate chant rang out throughout the Mosque: "Death to America! Death to America!" and the Ayatollah then made the conclusion that the U.S. was somehow involved in the demonstrations of protest, so he announced to all: If these demonstrations continue, there will be a price to pay. The next day, violence erupted and a young Iranian college woman was killed (BLOOD on Eric Cantor's treasonous hands). The man does not deserve to be in any sort of leadership position!

Answer: Yes it will sadly. It happend to me, unfortuanatly they decided to check it the day before I was supposed to move over there.. So I wasnt able to go until 3 years later when I fixed my credit. apparently a 700 here is a 650 there. Figures.

Answer: The Us credit rating could be downgraded in 2013. But it may happen as soon as August if the federal govt doesn't borrow money to pay the interest on the money it already owes.

What would happen if the US Government credit rating was downgraded?
if the term of a US president is only 4 years they could make bad financial decisions like increase the level of debt to dangerous levels and an economic slowdown or a recession could affect the ability to pay that back. hypothetically speaking if the credit rating of the US government was downgraded what affect would that have on the economy.
Answer: Ideally, it would have no affect. The economy should run independent of the government, its budget, or its "credit rating."
Unfortunately, the US government continues to use public money to pay the military and police forces to sustain private enterprises . . . the very private enterprises from which it borrows. Soon, the banks will be taking over the government and the military.
The people who yell "free market" forget that any time labor used to organize, the feds would put it down with troops paid by public money; that the cops and military are preserving a global order on their behalf. The people who yell "free market" are the ones whining for corporate bailouts when their corrupt business plans fail.
