I am in alot of pain and because of where they are located I get headaches in the back of my head that spread to my neck. My neck feels as if it get stuckalot so when I turn it it makes these popping grinding noises. the doctor who found them doesnt really want to do anything. He wanted me to go to physical therapy for 6 weeks, i did and I got worse. Other than that he has done nothing. I live in a small place and have insurance that is only accepted in certain places. What should I do?
Answer: You don't want surgery for bulging discs...a majority of people will get some form of bulging as we age..try traction,PT etc...give it time..it took my mother in law about a year to get over her pain etc..and she had/has DDD with her bulging disc

Any one use spinal traction for a curved neck/neck pain?
i recently heard theres a spinal traction device that can be used for neck pain and curvature of the neck. My chiropractor never suggested it, but friends use it all the time with their chiros. Its to alleviate that curved upper spine that causes your head to go forward. I have scoliosis of the midspine, and that weakness has caused my upper spine to take the brunt of it, and caused curvature. I want to stop it from getting any worse, as Im only in my 30s.

Answer: Your neck - obviously - holds your head up. There are several yoga poses where you have to hold your head up, one way or another. The planks and the reverse planks are some. The curl-up, or sit-up, is an exercise where, if you don't hold your head in your hands, you exercise your neck muscles. Another is to lie prone, pre-push-up position and lift your head as if you were going to look forward. There are many ways you can lift your head from many angles. The best way to start with are the prone ones. Look at a baby as it first tries to crawl. He has to lift his head to see where he is going. I think, at first, you should concentrate on just holding the head a few inches above the ground in several of the positions I have described. Then add slow deliberate movement. Never go for total exhaustion. Good luck! : )

It hurst when I swallow and my neck is swollen and sore to touch under sides of chin.?
When I swallow it hurts down in the back of my neck. When I eat something, or try to swallow a pill, it hurts more, my neck is swollen and hurts to touch on the sides, kind of under the ear area, is this something I need to go have checked, what should I take for it. Im not supposed to take Ibuprofen because of my creatine level but I find that this is the only thing that helps a little when Im at work, and I have to be at work.

Wednesday I felt like i was getting a head cold, I just had a stuffy nose and sore throat. Friday the congestion was gone but since then my throat still hurts, only when I swallow, and I have a horrible stiff neck/neck pain only in the back. it seems to travel to the back of my head and my ears also. Could this be just from a cold or is it more serious? I havent had any fever or nausea or vomitting.

I landed on my face so my neck was injured pretty badly, i was in pain in my neck when i came around, It is very painful. I went hospital but they didnt x ray or anything.
Answer: I suggest u go to the urgent care center right away to make sure there is no serious injury to ur neck or spine.

Neck and mouth pain, help?
My neck neck hurts but only if I touch it, I guess its like, tender? and I think I might have a fever, but I dont know because I dont have a good working thermometer. Also I have a pain in my mouth, its NOT my throat, its like, in the back, but on the top, still in the mouth area. It hurts it to cough and swallow.
What could this be.
I know for a fact that its nothing like Mumps, strep, or tonsilitis.

My neck gets extremely irritated when I shave?

When I shave my face / neck, my neck has a tendency of getting extremely irritated. It is not a huge deal if I only shave my face / neck once a week or so, but when I try to be clean shaven daily it is extremely painful. I get red bumps, razor burn. It is ugly and painful.
I try to use brand new razor blades (Mach 3s) and I also use expensive Gilette shaving cream. I dont use aftershave or lotion though. What can I do?
Answer: Definitely try using lotion after shaving. I had the same problem and that worked for me.

How bad do back of the neck/underneath neck tattoos hurt?
I want to get mine below my neck on my back, but this is my first tattoo. I have a medium pain tolerance. Its just going to be black and white. Idk if that matter or not.
Answer: Its not bad at all. That's where i got my first one and it wasn't that bad. Just when they hit you're back bone, but even then its quick and still not bad. I got my second one on my foot and that one hurt pretty bad, made my first seem like a walk in the park. Good Luck!

Constant morning headaches and neck pains?
I wake up almost every morning with a pain in the back of my head, just a little above my neck. My neck is usually sore as well. I usually take Ibuprofen, but its not much help. I thought it might have been how I slept, which is normally on my side, so I switched to sleeping on my back, but there wasnt much of a change. I changed out my pillow with a tempur-pedic neck pillow, still not much help. Any ideas on what to do or medicine to take to relieve these pains?

Sleeping position is very important at night. Sleeping on your back is going to be your best bet with the right pillow. Also, sleep with a pillow under your knees, as this will take the pressure off of your lower back. You can sleep so much for comfortably this way. If you move to your side that is okay as well. On your side put a pillow between your knees.
Also, get checked out by a chiropractor - you may have misalignment in your neck or upper back that needs to be looked at. They can help you with ensuring that your spine is aligned properly, and help you with muscle spasms in the suboccipital muscles (at the top of your neck, at the base)- these often contribute to headaches.

Will the Ibanez RG 220 neck fit on an Ibanez RG 560 body?
I have a guitar body thats the Rg 560 model from the 80s but need a neck. Necks are hard to find, so I am trying to find a neck to fit. Thanks!
Answer: It should. It might be a tight fit though. From the various high-res photos around the net they look to be the same width. If it's too wide you could always sand down the sides some. Not the fretboard though, since it stays above the body.
