Egyptologists discover 17 new pyramids
University of Alabama researchers tell the BBC that theyve located 17 more lost pyramids, plus 1,000 tombs and more than 3,000 ancient Egyptian settlements.
The top of the great pyramid is missing?
I heard that, well, from watching too much history channel, that the top of the great pyramid of Giza is missing. Or its incomplete, and i have been looking at pictures of the great pyramid and it looks like it is missing its top. Strange huh?
Oh and also part 2: Is it possible that theres a hidden underground city under the sphinx, or the great pyramids. Like an ancient city of a lost civilization, because the ancient Egyptians didnt build the pyramids.[seriously they didnt] Also Egypt is filled with alot of sand so theres more than enough room for an underground city.
Answer: The evidence points to the Great Pyramid having been constructed with a pyramidion covered with gold or electrum. Since it is missing we cannot be too sure which metal (if any) was used. In ancient Egypt it was called a ben-benet, and was itself a miniature pyramid. Later pyramids in the Middle Kingdom were made of granite and inscribed with text.
http://www.touregypt.net/featurestories/pyramidions.htm
There is not a city underneath the Sphinx, but there are chambers which have been found by echo-location. Zawi Hawass will not allow any further exploration around or tampering with the Sphinx at this point in time. Many people believe the Sphinx is much older than what mainstream archaeologists have claimed. Indeed, there is solid evidence to suggest this is true. As far as underground cities in the locality, yes it is possible. Many sites are buried deep in sand and every so often we hear of new discoveries of "lost" cities. Assuming the Sphinx is thousands of years older than has been assumed, we can imagine that another civilization may have influenced the ancient Egyptian culture. It would be great to find more evidence, but Dr. Hawass is a major obstacle.

Is this not proof the Bible was corrupted?
In Daniel 9 (in the 1611 KJV Bible), there was a semi colon, but Christians replaced it with a comma.
In the KJV, “that” is in italics because the translators wanted the reader to think that it was talking about Jesus, but all the “the”s aren’t in the original Hebrew. This word is mashiach, meaning “anointed one”. It should read “the anointed prince”.
In Daniel 9:26, we read:
And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
He doesn’t come back after three days to rise again from the dead.
This verse is talking about a covenant which comes to nothing, as the following verse explains:
27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
This is talking about someone anointed; someone who is going to make a covenant and, after this, the temple was to be destroyed by the people of a coming prince, and then an outpouring of desolations and abomination would occur.
Christians like to take this last week and move it way forward into the future and not apply it to the destruction of the temple, but the third temple and tell us about the antichrist who will be Satan incarnate, a charismatic figure whose colour will show in the midst of that seven-year period, but at the first, middle or even the end of the week, Christ will come.
There’s also a secular interpretation of these passages which shows, if you recall the two starting dates of Jeremiah’s two prophecies, one is 605 BC and the actual date of the temple’s destruction and the Jewish leaders taken captive to Babylon: 587 BC.
Starting at that date, if you move forward forty-nine years later, comes Cyrus the king of Persia with his decree allowing people to return to Jerusalem and rebuild the temple.
If we take the sixty-two weeks in Daniel 9:25 and start at the 605 BC date, we can move forward from there to arriving at 171 BC.
Three and a half years later, Antiochus Epiphanes wanted to battle with Egypt, but he lost.
On his return, he stopped in Jerusalem to try and convert the people of Judea to the Greek culture.
There were young men who liked the culture, but most warded off his culture.
On the way back, he said that he had burnt all the buildings, set up an idol in the temple and sacrificed a pig on the altar. He also crucified many people. He wanted to force the Greek culture onto them.
After Antiochus died in 164 BC, the temple was regained by Judas Maccabeus and rededicated (Hunnakah Jewish feast of today is about dedication of the temple at that time) so within 171-164 BC you have a fulfilment of exactly what it said in book of Daniel.
Jews today also have an interpretation of this: the year 2008 in Jewish time is the 5,768th year. So if we use this to subtract 1,938 years from our 2008 date, we arrive at 70 AD, the year that Titus destroyed the temple.
Moving back another seven years, we will arrive at the date of 63 CE. Now the Jews claimed that Nero made an agreement with the people, in 63 CE, that the priest would sacrifice a daily thank for Caesar. Priests refused in 66 CE and there was rebellion, and that’s when Titus finally came and helped Jerusalem under siege, and the temple was destroyed in 70 AD. We arrive at the year 3340, which they say is when the temple was destroyed.
The only problem with that is, if we use secular dating and follow that back, we can tell that their dating system is off secular dating by a hundred and sixty-seven years.
In other words, if we use 7340 and subtract from 2008 for example, we arrive roughly at 420 BC as the date of the destruction of Jerusalem, whereas secular historians tell us that its 587 BC (a hundred and sixty-seven year discrepancy between secular dating and Jewish dating).
But the fact remains: Daniel 9, contrary to the claims of many Christian preachers, this has absolutely nothing to do with Jesus and contains no Jesus-related prophecies.
Christians also mistranslated “holy of holies” in Leviticus 25 as “the holy one”, and it is also interesting to note that, although the word almah is used in the Old Testament seven times, the translators of the Septuagint used ἡ παρθένος, both in Isaiah 7:14 and Genesis 24:43.
In other words, they changed almah to bethulah in just these two verses.
Hosea 11:1:
1 “When Israel was a child, I loved him,
And out of Egypt I called My son.
So the word son is being applied to the entire nation of Israel. It is not talking about Jesus Christ or a future messiah.
Exodus 4:22 proves that Jesus is not eternally begotten:
Then you shall say to Pharaoh
Paul, in 1 Corinthians 15, never says that Jesus was resurrected. Anastasis means to resurrect or reconstruct, to be rebuilt – it implies being acted on by an outside agent. A dead man does not get up by his own power. Egeiro/Egersis means to awaken, get up or resuscitate.
Why would God inspire the writer to use a word which does not mean resurrection, if that word was available, and known by the writer?
Paul, in 1 Corinthians 15, deals very thoroughly with the resurrection, but as a future event. He never states that Jesus was resurrected. An idiom would be to use the word sleep for death. Egersis is not an idiom for anastasis.
Answer: The Septuagint was translated by Jewish scholars for use by the Jews many years before the birth of Christ; the "lingua franca" of the world at that time was Greek, and few Jews actually understood enough Hebrew to make any sense of the scriptures at all. Don't blame the translation "virgin" on Christians! Now, we have run with it pretty far, but it *is* the translation used by the Lord himself, as it was the standard translation used it the synagogues of that day. In the fullness of time...
Greek Orthodoxy uses both the terms "anastasis" and "ergesin" as references to the the resurrection of Christ. Christ had life within himself, he hold us. He could resurrect himself!
I don't quite understand what your trouble is with using either word. Christ did both - the body that was asleep in death awoke (as did Lazarus's body not long before.) "Anastasis" means to get back up. Christ did that too. It's a double negative, with both "an" and "a" the negatives. Not-(not standing). "ana" as a prefix can be understood as "re" . Restand.
Not all Christians hold to the theories of American Evangelicals. The heirs of the ancient churches, those we now call Catholic and Orthodox, in their *very complete* theologies, do not have such theories as the rapture and and/or tribulation of newer Christian bodies.
And your first premise is wrong: "that" is not italicized in Danial 9:26. What an argument built on a mistake!

What is Coptic Christianity and what do Coptic Christians believe?
Coptic” means Egyptian and Christians living in Egypt identify themselves as Coptic Christians. As a denomination they originated in the city of Alexandria, one of the most Faithful, respected, and fruitful during the Apostolic period. Proudly, the Coptic Christians acknowledge and herald John Mark, (author of the Gospel of Mark), as their founder and first bishop sometime between A.D. 42 - A.D. 62. The Coptic’s during the early church period became members of the Roman Catholic Church but because of issues related to ritual and doctrinal differences split, separating away to form their own denomination. The Coptic Church followed the Eastern Orthodox Church in protest and rebellion against the authority of Rome, no longer willing to support or be controlled by the Roman Catholic Church. To this day 95% of Christians in Alexandria are members of the Coptic Orthodox Church.
The tradition goes that when John Mark arrived on a missionary journey to Egypt, the Coptic form of religion of that day was god-centered worship, centered or focused upon the pyramids. However, John Mark and the Gospel message were well received by the Coptic people as they also believed in “eternal life.” The Coptic people, under Roman rule and societal influence, consisted of Greeks, Jews, and Egyptians, therefore Christianity had to take into account the different cultural, language, and religious backgrounds when evangelizing for converts and in establishing its church. Coptic Christianity was originally well-founded in theology which other churches in cities throughout the Roman Empire looked up to with great admiration and respect, willingly following their lead in doctrinal like-mindedness and unity.
Throughout early church history major life changing Christian events took place in Alexandria, including the Council of Nicea Conference in AD 325, the Council of Constantinople Conference in AD 381, the Council of Ephesus Conference in AD 431, and the Council of Chalcedon Conference in AD 451. These councils formally and collectively confirmed and established the Deity of Christ and the Holy Spirit, the Trinity doctrines, as well as the virgin birth and the two natures of Christ, Divine and human.
It is interesting to note that when the Coptic’s were under the rule of the Roman Empire, they suffered severe persecution and death for their steadfast faith and beliefs in Christ while refusing to worship emperors. However, by AD 641 yet another tribulation began when the Arab conquest took place overthrowing the Romans’ rule in Egypt which at first relieved the Coptic Church from persecution. What appeared to be their liberty and freedom became yet again, bondage. The societal strength and control of the Arabs’ caused them to endure a major language and culture change as well as confront the Islamic faith. Unfortunately, over the centuries, Christianity lost foothold and most Coptic’s converted over to Islam.
Today, there is a small population of Coptic Christians remaining in Alexandria whereas most are located elsewhere. Estimates indicate that there are 60 million members worldwide with 30 million in other parts of Egypt outside of Alexandria while the rest are located in bordering countries.
Theologically, Coptic Christianity is very similar to Roman Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy. They profess to be genuine followers of Jesus Christ and apart of His worldwide Church. As with Catholicism, they tend to emphasize meritorious works in salvation along with liturgical ritual rather than salvation through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Answer: I guess u have the reply to ur question above !!
Coptic christians are the chrisitans of Egypt, the word Copt Means Egypt , the coptic christianity was founded by Saint Mark in Alexandria, which was the main church,
Coptic Chrisitians now are spread in all over the world,
Yes they are similar to Roman Catholic and eastern orthodox. Why?? Coz basicly they are called coptic orthodox
The most special thing about copts, that they are commited with tradition, they believe tradition is a main core in christianity.

NASA satellite helps find 17 Egypt pyramids: report

What is wrong with this essay?
Alexander the Great had a bottomless and extensive influence that lasted for centuries. He used a phalanx, his father’s Macedonian army, to draw the attention of his enemies while preparing the key charge that brought victory. Marching for eleven years and covering twenty-two thousand miles without losing a battle over the strongest foes of his time indicates that he was a legend and a fearless conqueror. What he truthfully wanted in his life was glory and heroism, rather than easy living and wealth. Alexander was a great man rather than a lucky man of his time.
In 356 B.C, Alexander was born in Pella, an ancient capital of Macedonia, to King Phillip and Olympia, princess of Epirus. At the age of thirteen, his parents hired a personal tutor, Aristotle, a Greek philosopher, logician and scientist, who thought him rhetoric and literature. The young boy had an interest in science, medicine and philosophy. Aristotle’s teaching soon came in play against other philosophers in India. When his father left to Byzantium to battle against rebels, he was left to rule Macedonia as a regent, someone who rules during the absence of a monarch. This position shows that he was already accomplished in battle at the age of sixteen.
Alexander the Great was a true visionary and leader who fought for larger pieces of territory around Asia, the Middle East and Africa. He was also a military genius of his time who attacked an army of Persians, (under King Darius III) and Greek hoplites, profoundly armed foot soldiers of ancient Greece who were on the Persian’s side and against Macedonians. Alexander’s forces killed 40,000 men and only 110 of his men were killed. When he was in Egypt, he was voluntarily made pharaoh because the Egyptian despised living under the Persian rule. He also conquered the land between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers and found a Persian army of one million men. On October 1st, 331 B.C, his Macedonian men slaughtered them. They burned the royal palace and soon, the ancient Persian Empire fell. Of all the battles he had fought in, the greatest battle was against Porus of India, one of the greatest leaders. The Indians were defeated in a brutal battle even though they fought with elephants, animals the Macedonians haven’t seen before. Aristotle’s teaching helped when Alexander debated against Bhramin philosophers, who were famous for their wisdom. He was known as a legendary in India for his philosophy and fearless conquerors.
With his large, loyal and combative army, he united an area over twenty two million square miles. He setup a common system of currency for his entire realm, established many new cities and colonies, many of them that were named after him. An example of a city that was named after him was Alexandria in Egypt and Alexadropolis in Greece. A foundered city was even named after his dead horse, Bucephalus. Though the Greek culture was already expanding, he continued to expand from the polis to the unknown world of his time. He established many training programs to teach Persians about Greek and Macedonian culture.
Alexander the Great died in 323 B.C at the age of thirty three years due to a heavy drinking bout and swimming in a river from which he caught a fever. Despite the fact that he was an alcoholic, heavy drinking was a cherished tradition at the Macedonian court. Alexander was “great” in a sense because he had so much influence in history. Greece ruled the near east politically for three hundred years and culturally for one thousand years because of his actions. If he had lived longer, it was possible that he would have politically united the world. Alexander the Great deserved his title as he was very young who conquered most of the world. It was only lost when he died. He was the first king ever to the called “the Great”.
my teacher said it was awkward it didnt analyze my thesis. help, can you please help me analyze this better with details? thanks
Answer: One important mistake you are making, is you need to define paragraphs, with indentation.
Thesis should be Alexander was....lucky man ...of his time...
NEW paragraph.
That is/should be your thesis.
Next separate main/most important ideas, make them paragraph.
Indent new paragraphs.
Otherwise it's not bad

why support t Palestinians?
Egypt have lost men in three wars, for Palestine why?
what have Palestinians ever done for egypt?
While the Palestinians ar suffering now ,however if you dont want a slap dont fire three hundred rockets into other peoples cities.
If Israel fired three hundred rockets into Cairo would not Egypt attack ISrael?
After 60 years things have settled between israel and egypt, if Palestinians get control , will egypt be better off or will th Palestinians destroy egypt as they destroyed Lebanon?
the death figuresreleaed by the Palistininians doesnt support yor allergation tht mostly children dided.
why is a black history whn egypt and syeria attcked them
stolen land is very debatable the romans knew the difference btweenarab and jews an recorded no arabs in the roman provance of Palistine, Arabs did not arrive untill after 700ad, we know through archeolgy and documentaion that the jews were there for at least 4000 years
yes slf defense, 300 rockets, kidnapping of israeli soldiers
yes only a slap, the israelis are very restrained compared to what they can do
Answer: I do not support Hamas and I believe the eternal intention on violence is part of the reason we are seeing so much bloodshed in Gaza right now. When you will keep firing rockets into another country, primitive rockets that do little but inflict trauma on communities and endanger civilians, and you will not stop however your own country is bombarded and however many of your own people are killed—is that heroism, or is it murder? I believe many of the people of the Gaza Strip want peace and prosperity in their own lives more than they want terror and trauma in the lives of the Israelis—but there's not much they can do and they're stuck between a blind resistance movement and the relentless Israeli military. I've always considered that no one suffers more than the Palestinians, but also that they suffer because of their leadership. I would like Hamas to stop playing with fireworks because the sooner it does so, the sooner life in Gaza can go back to normal. Meanwhile, we must realize that Israel will not halt this offensive as long as 900,000 Israelis are living within the range of the Katyushas. But by all means—people are living like animals over there—open the goddamn gate!

Why do people think Satan is evil when God is eviler?
I just never understood that; if Satan is evil then what is God? What is the man who raped the 7 year old girl? what is Hitler? what is the DC sniper?. There has to be another world for them because obviously they have done more atrocious stuff than the devil.
I am not a christian but I grew up in a christian household and know that the bible story doesnt make much sense. My mom and dad would repeatedly blame EVERYTHING bad on Satan so I was brainwashed into thanking he was one evil mofo just out to f*ck up mankind.
I am an adult now and I always think about Satans story and what he went through. Ever been accused of doing something you never did? Or have you ever done a good deed and someone saw it as an evil deed? Well what if that happened to Lucifer??
According to Christianity Lucifer was cast out of heaven for revolting against God and sent to hell.
But what if Lucifer revolted against God after he discovered that God actually had malicious intentions for humans and revolted against God to protect humans but lost and was cast to hell and God "inspired" humans that Lucifer/Satan was the one with malicious intentions.
Is it possible that Satan/Lucifer is not truly evil but rather just a scapegoat? I believed he was accused of being full of himself and going against God; funny thing is 90% of people on earth would do the same. Have you all ever read the stuff God did in the bible, or do you all just skip those pages just to convince yourselves that God is good? Well I read it and that stuff is CRAZY.
God drowned everyone and everything on the planet, turned people into pillars of salt, took every first-born son in Egypt and obliterate cities for having the wrong kinds of fun...etc But still God is good.
Lucifer killed some people AFTER God told him to do it and he is labelled and evil SOB. I just dont understand, the devil seems like a good guy to me (well maybe not good, but FAR from evil). He is the least of my worries, I more fear that God will flood my town and kill all my friends!
Answer: Fiction my friend.
Satan is a deceiver - playing the "wounded innocent" is certainly not out of character. His fall came from pride, not from any "evil" attributed to God. He desired to replace God and supplant Him, rather than serving Him in honor and glory.
Satan's works upon the earth are clear evidence of his inherent evil. Demonic possession. Evil spells, the evil eye, Satanic rituals (including human sacrifice), etc. All have their basis... you guessed it... in Satan.
Don't be deluded. Satan cannot be redeemed for he chooses not to be - his choice made once is for all eternity. Only human beings have the ability to change their minds... and even this is temporary while we occupy our physical bodies.

Help, I lost her... What do I do?
Almost 4 years ago I met a girl in university. Long story short, we become good friends and then started "dating". We couldnt be to public about things because she is coptic (Egyptian Christian) and because of her middle eastern background, its hard enough for her to be with a guy, and for it to be a non-coptic its near impossible.
She and I were very happy, even considering the situation. I really respect the familys beliefs and why they have them, even if I dont agree. Problems were being caused because of the sneaking around, and I think it was near obvious what was going on between us.
Her life become very difficult, and she was sent back to Egypt for a year.I want her to be happy and I felt that I was causing her more problems than I was worth, so I ended it.
Fast forward to present day. We live in the same city, she is very angry at me, and shes now engaged. I need her back, or at least have her as a friend. I cant call, email, or go to her home. What do I do!??!!
Answer: Hey if she dont want to talk 2 u move on shes engaged!!! but if u cant deal go to her house or something to contact her and tell her why? u did it and it wasnt to hurt her it was to heal her!!! If dont want nothing to do with you just move on cause she has!!!

If anyone searches on the Internet -check Wikipedia- or If you ask any foreigner about the 6th of October War, The answer is one thing; ISRAEL WON.
That -simply put- is NOT true. Its very frustrating seeing this false propaganda of Israels victory spreading on the Internet.
Realizing that; Probably twenty years from now The war would be a dead history and people would remain believing that the victory was for Israels army. Of course, since what we -Egyptians- know about the war is very little basic information that we were taught at the fifth grade at school, Beside 99% of this information is about How brave, smart was our president; Husni Mobarak..I pity US!
Its shame seeing how we forgot about our OWN war, our OWN soldiers who lost their lives so we could walk down the streets without being shot, without living to witness the ugliness of war.
Basically, I would like to explain why foreigners think Israel won.
First, " They think Egyptians lost the war because Egypts third Army was destroyed"
--> I would totally understand your point if we had ONLY the 3rd Army out there.
What about the rest of the Army?! Not because Israel conquered a part of our army then this means we are beaten! That was ONLY one round, people!! Did we surrender?! Was the war over?! NO.
Second, "Israel won at the end of the war."
Well, to Understand what really happened..We have to know Egypts goal behind the whole war.
After Israel invaded Sinai, 1967. We failed to get our land back by any peaceful democratic manners [I am not surprised] so we HAD to fight.
Our goal was not to destroy all Israels Army, It was only to get back our land by putting troops on the east side of the Canal that faces Israel and keep going from there. After that; Get our land back with negotiations. That was what the Egyptian president during that time - Anwar El Sadad- ordered his commanders to do.
Question Now, Did we succeed?!
I am proud to say, YES.
During only the first six hours of the war, We conquered over Barlife line which was believed to be invincible. We caused a lot of damage and destruction in Israels army. Syrian army also was able to destroy any protection method that Israel used and prevented them from using Nobelium tubes.
As Egyptians, we were able to get back Suez Canal and a part of Sinai then we got the rest by peaceful manners in 1974...Just like we planned to.
Beside, During the war; Israel was trying to control and capture one city so they could launch propaganda about their courageous success, they tried to capture Suez Canal but they FAILED. So you wanna convince me that an army that couldnt capture ONE city won over the entire war?!! Use your common sense.
Bottom line: We reached our goal from 6th of October War. We took our land back, that makes us victorious.
Wow
no answers till now ..That shows the truth
So why dont you give me your version of history??huh??
I gave you facts not just words
so give me facts and explain to me your point of view( If you can)
1st reply to Auntie Mame hates injustice!
@roosterman
give me evidence!!
what will I do with some unuseful words??
Answer: @"Auntie Mama": ROFL, "Islamic version of history".
There is no such thing as "Islamic version" history is history. israel got got its butt kicked in the 1973. Egypt regained back this territory.
israeli generals acknowledged already of their defeat and knew that if the war had continued israel would have been wiped out.
Watch this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xi4IIe30IyA
The Egyptian soldier ripped the zionist flag that was on pure Egyptian Sinai soil.
Also it is known that it is filthy zionist media propaganda that is trying to portray it as if they won. This is obviously so the spirit of the israeli public would be up.
Any coming war with israel, by the permission of the Almighty, israel will be erased from the face of Earth by Egypt.
@Blueberk: I have got 2 things to tell you.
1-Nice made up story, and numbers there ;)
2-If hypothetically those numbers are real then know that those numbers were made by the American war planes that helped you, and not actually the zionists themselves. Besides all this, a victor in a war is decided by if they complete their goals. Egypt's goal was to capture the Eastern bank of the Suez which the israelis said that it was impossible to capture. Egypt did this. Therefore they won the war, regardless of the numbers.

Global Warming is real, it just sunk an inhabited island?
Disappearing world: Global warming claims tropical island
For the first time, an inhabited island has disappeared beneath rising seas. Environment Editor Geoffrey Lean reports
Published: 24 December 2006
Rising seas, caused by global warming, have for the first time washed an inhabited island off the face of the Earth. The obliteration of Lohachara island, in Indias part of the Sundarbans where the Ganges and the Brahmaputra rivers empty into the Bay of Bengal, marks the moment when one of the most apocalyptic predictions of environmentalists and climate scientists has started coming true.
As the seas continue to swell, they will swallow whole island nations, from the Maldives to the Marshall Islands, inundate vast areas of countries from Bangladesh to Egypt, and submerge parts of scores of coastal cities.
Eight years ago, as exclusively reported in The Independent on Sunday, the first uninhabited islands - in the Pacific atoll nation of Kiribati - vanished beneath the waves. The people of low-lying islands in Vanuatu, also in the Pacific, have been evacuated as a precaution, but the land still juts above the sea. The disappearance of Lohachara, once home to 10,000 people, is unprecedented.
It has been officially recorded in a six-year study of the Sunderbans by researchers at Calcuttas Jadavpur University. So remote is the island that the researchers first learned of its submergence, and that of an uninhabited neighbouring island, Suparibhanga, when they saw they had vanished from satellite pictures.
Two-thirds of nearby populated island Ghoramara has also been permanently inundated. Dr Sugata Hazra, director of the universitys School of Oceanographic Studies, says "it is only a matter of some years" before it is swallowed up too. Dr Hazra says there are now a dozen "vanishing islands" in Indias part of the delta. The areas 400 tigers are also in danger.
Until now the Carteret Islands off Papua New Guinea were expected to be the first populated ones to disappear, in about eight years time, but Lohachara has beaten them to the dubious distinction.
Human cost of global warming: Rising seas will soon make 70,000 people homeless
Refugees from the vanished Lohachara island and the disappearing Ghoramara island have fled to Sagar, but this island has already lost 7,500 acres of land to the sea. In all, a dozen islands, home to 70,000 people, are in danger of being submerged by the rising seas.
I posted this up for those who didnt believe that Global warming was real. What more evidence do you need? We just lost an island for crying out loud! and theres more to come if we dont become more eco-friendly. Well lose coastal areas and more islands such as hawaii, flordia, etc. This is a very serious issue.
My question is do you believe its happening and would you be willing to go environmentally friendly. Even if you dont believe it, why not go environmentally friendly anyways? The earth is your home and its important to make sure its a safe, clean healthy place.

Green House effect and Egypts Joseph Requests solution.?
Green House effect is true, but now is NOT the time to find the cause.
1. Learn to overcome todays problems, like doctors coming by large floating clinics to serve the needy on the coastline. Today 72% of mankind lives by the water side.
2. Yes, as the BBC is telling us now, and while listening, I type that, yes, America has black oil and green algae to produce oil for their motor vehicles, but my schoolboy reply would be that, "both emit CO2."
3. In cosmodynamics, even "white algae" would cause green house effect if used to produce a fire with motor oil.
4. So, the answer is to use electrically operated vehicles, working on the hydroelectric dam, on Wind systems and photovoltaic systems, (I got Viannas e-mail right now and her ad.s for the systems.- See Trade Publications mag via email. - Being in SJRTC, and dealing with power supplies, I can only advise people like Vianna to now start using the lovely green power systems. My wife, Celine too is doing her Ph.D in photovoltaic systems in India. Then please implement them as for Electrically operated trains, and also in software driven trams (These are single carriage vehicles that run in the cities on tracks that merge with the roads. The advantage of these systems is that it directly draws power from the hydroelectric dam, and does not depend on batteries, where 67% of the power is lost in conversion, where chemicals are poisonous and costly, and the storage system does not last more than a year.
As a doctor and engineers son, I would look at these as the highest priority. We have made a mark in many countries in the world, as a family, and these include Russa, England, Africa, etc.
One last thing, I advise for proper Civic life is, please do not make small channels from a higher place to larger ones midway, to even larger ones below, after which I believe millions of people are drowned in floods each year, in India alone, so please dig at least three feet downwards, and let the water fill the water table below you and not your brothers house downstream. Do not let any well sealed sullage or rain water channel run for more than 100 meters without such a pit and if needed with a septic tank. This was part of British India during education in school and also emphasised in Medicine.
I hope people realize this in these open letters in Yahoo.com.
Answer: I appreciate your sincere concerns and positive ideas given. Indeed we have to think seriously about these things. Even when I was in govt service, much was talked about these options in various forums, attended by senior administrators (IAS) as well.
But the govts unfortunately are not that serious about good advices of the experts and fritter away precious govt resources in provision of sops to win votes, rather than look beyond and do something concrete for the people.
The photovoltic options are still costly and more cost effective way of tapping solar energy is due. The solar water heating is however catching up with many hostels, hotels, etc. But even residential complexes could save energy by installing these. The wind energy could be harnessed in a big way in south India with its long coast line, but it is very scantily and tardily tapped at present.
The use of fossil fuels in vehicles is getting higher and higher at the csot of health of people. More and more children are getting asthmatic. But the transport system is so inadequate that people have to depend on their own vehilcles to reach places. An alternate fuel mix with least emission needs to be operationalised on top priority.
I am old and concerned about the health of my grand children. I shall thank God for making govts and sceintists more responsive to the urgent needs of the day.

Have I lost his interest?
This may be long so I apologise in advance.
To put it simply, Im veryyy in like with this guy.. I completely adore him, there is honestly nothing I wouldnt do to keep him happy.
Theres a 3 year age gap, but hes never been in a relationship so Im basing it on experience, not age. (Im 17 so yeah.. you can work it out lol), I guess you could say we have a sort of "connection", almost, cause were from the same country back home :P (Egypt.. There arent many people from Egypt in our city, at all) Hes from my town, but goes to uni in another city, so hes here and there all the time.
Hes unbelievably confusing.. seriously. He knows I adore him and he says he feels the same, but he wants to make sure whoever is his girlfriend is the right girl.. Which I respect totally but I never know where I stand. Sometimes he shows so much interest.. + sometimes its like he forgets I exist.
After Id last seen him, he kissed me but at the same time he was very respectful.. Not just going for it but asking if it was okay to (might sound corny, but its a pretty huge deal in our culture) I decided I had to ask him what We were. He said were not really at a stage yet where we can define what we are.. And saying love takes time to develop, people say "I love you" all the time that its lost its meaning.. Which I agree with.
But yeah, that was that.. + then his Blackberry had gone for repair.. So we were texting for a couple of weeks instead.. He has a tendency to suddenly snap at me, so I just gave up. Two weeks later he text me saying, "Baby, just got my bb back and just about found your number. Where you been, miss you x" and I replied with, "You missed me?" not believing him.. he said, "Yeah I missed you, why wouldnt I, what you tryna say?" .. and when I didnt reply, he called me.. We had a 3 hour convo on the phone, him asking if I disappeared because I had a boyfriend, when I said I didnt, he said good because he doesnt want anyone taking me away from him, and saying all he wants to do is make me smile, that Im beautiful and all sorts of sweet stuff. But since then, (about.. 3 weeks ago now) weve barely talked, and when we do, its pretty short.
Should I just forget it? Is he just the type who wants the benefits but without the commitment? I havent done anything with him apart from kiss him, and tbh I dont plant to (even though we are both virgins.. yes I didnt believe he was to until a mutual friend was trying to make him look bad and said so lol!) I mean, when its good between us, its amazing.. I know you probably think Im crazy for saying this at 17, but I genuinely believe he could be the one whos last name I have.. Ive never felt like this about any guy, and hes definitely someone I can bring home to my parents..
Or should I keep at it? Or what? Im totally confused and I dont want to give up.. I get so close to walking away and hell say something and I end up falling all over again. Theres just something about him I cant turn away from.
Sorry for the essay! But I really dont have a clue what to do anymore, my best friend says keep trying, my other best friend says I need to forget him.. My heart says keep trying as well but my head says stay away.. It kills me when its like I dont exist when at one point I was important to him..
Answer: No! Don't give up! I think if you REALLY like him and want to be with him, honestly tell him how you feel. I know it's easier said than done, but it could really help. Tell him how you're feeling about all the mixed signs he's giving you. If you're honest to him, he'll end up being honest to you and tell you how or why he was doing that when you tell him this, or maybe he just doesn't realize he's doing it. He seems like he likes you a lot, so it's worth a shot.
Good luck! :)

How Do I Cope With This?
Okay, Ill just give you a brief summary of me. EXTREMELY brief:
I am kind of cross-Christian cross-Pagan. I see value in all life and the value and gifts in everything. I get extremely emotional when I come across suicidal people and deaths in general. I get so ANGRY when I think about the paper industry and just industry in general. I believe that there are souls in every plant and other living being just as there are in animals. I also believe that some people can/have unlocked the spirit within themselves and can communicate with such creatures, particularly trees. This includes me, (but I worry ALL THE TIME that its extremely possible that I could just be hearing my own head most of the time) but I believe that everyone can unlock this natural ability as a living being.
I have been told quite a few times that a lot of people can tell that Ive been here on Earth before, that I am a VERY old spirit. Of course, Im not certain of this, but it may explain why I feel like Ive been through firsts in life many times, or why the number one hundred (particularly in years) doesnt seem like much to me. Even thousands, and even millions a lot of the time. It also may explain why I know so much about the Earth and natures rights and spirituality while I was not raised on any of this stuff. Even when I was really little, I always had guilt, I never tortured worms. In fact, I SAVED them from drying out in the sun and I yelled at the boys who would step and squish caterpillars. Even now Im cringing as I type such things, and I grew up in two households, both in which kills spiders and other bugs instead of saving them, which is what I try to do as much as I can.
Anyway, Ive been having an EXTREMELY hard time dealing with things like deforestation, "teenager-y" teens, litterers, the lost connection between humanity and nature, how everyone thinks were doing more good than ever before but never think about how we lost our bond that should still exist, cities, pollution, death, murder, even BULLYING for crying out loud! And just like, how no one really cares anymore, how people never listen, animal abuse, not understanding, and just how people have lost this necessary connection in our lives, hardly even care, and keep making the same mistakes over and over again.
I also get really angry about racism, discrimination, squishing bugs, making fun of cultures, modern society, what they teach in school now-a-days (its only "important" because of modern society which shouldnt EXIST the way it does but this stuff isnt important to life and spirituality and to us as people. There are SOOOOO many things that people NEED to know when theyre young but theyre not taught! It drives me CRAZY!!!!! JEEZUM!), and when Im watching social studies videos about ancient Greece and Egypt and stuff then it goes back to show what its like now, with less grass and life and just cars and city buildings and billions too many people and...and...and...and OMG!
How can I handle this?! How can I get more people to understand how I feel and feel the same way?! What are some strategies I can try to help change the world for the better?! UGH! Please help me... I dont know how to cope with my distress and agony...
P.S. Dont judge me based on my beliefs and what I said about myself, just please help me cope with this stuff! If you know any way other than "talking to people" or "drawing pictures" or "stress balls" or any of that useless psychology "methods", because to me theyre stupid and dont change anything and dont do anything...How can I feel better while the world is still the way it is?!?!
Please help =( The pain and agony hurts a lot...
Answer: My friend, you need to tend to your psychic barriers. At the moment, you are feeling all the pain of all creatures, and in this life you are not equipped to do that. In order to live this present life in the position in which you have been placed, you must learn to filter what reaches your senses. You must shut out the voices of the broken souls so that you can hear your own thoughts and fulfill your own destiny.
Most souls come into bodies and minds with filters and barriers intact. It seems that yours have been lost or damaged, so you must put forth energy from with your own conscious control in order to protect yourself. Strong barriers define who you are as distinct from other beings. Effective filters allow you to focus on your own sensations without confusion with sensation that do not belong to you.
There are some good psychologists who understand these things. Look for a wise, old soul well steeped in Jungian theory and familiar with the languages of mythology. You will communicate well with this person. If medicine is recommended, be careful, but do not refuse it too quickly. If your psychic defenses have been weakened by an accident of the physical body, by a flaw in biochemistry or energy imbalance, medications can set matters right. Remember that many of the oldest, best medications were compounded by wise women and men from plants, roots and barks that grow in the earth. The earth's wisdom is healing.
Be strong, but also be humble, my friend. You were not sent here to struggle on your own. Others will be sent to help you, and they must also fulfill their destiny.
Be hopeful. Be blessed.
