Is it legal to file a lien against a condo for items made defective by contractor & different than promised?
There is now a LIEN on my condo for $5500 which is $2350 more than we had to pay for the $700 to $900 skylights we were promised in a letter we got from the HOA & PM. Instead of those $700 to $900 skylights that we were promised a price of $450 each, we got $225 economy skylights and there is not a person here who would have purchased the absolute cheapest skylights on the market for our upscale condos. I purchased my condo because of the upscale skylights and tried to fight this project from the beginning. More important was that not one out of the 4 condo owners had a leak in their roof and we all loved our very upscale skylights and begged to keep them. . This project only happened because of lies the lawyer for the condo put in writing to the DCA about the credentials of the expert who he referred to as an expert and an engineer when she had her degree in Zoolgoy.
We had no idea why the HOA wanted to replace a perfect non leaking roof and such upscale skylights. Our builder installed upscale skylights that were thick and sound proof because of the busy road outside the model condos and 287 nearby. The builder had the skylights tinted so that the furniture inside our units wouldnt be faded by the sun and he had a coating on the outside of the skylights so that when it rained they would be washed. I purchased my particular condo because of these very special type of skylights that our builder put in our upscale condos.
The $225 skylights are paper thin and I worry daily that something is going to break them with all the trees around our condo. It is difficult to sleep with the loud traffic outside especially the trucks on 287 and since there is no tint my blue couch & loveseat have faded in less than 2 years and have to be recovered when they were perfect before.
Our HOA stole those wonderful skylights from us and the reason used in writing to the DCA was a lie referring to the expert who said the skylights should be replaced as an engineer when she had her degree in Zoology. Not one of the four condo owners needed a new roof and we loved our upscale skylights which may have lasted another 50 years. The reason for replacing our skylights was to protect the integrity of the 50 year warranty roof; yet, the HOA allowed the roofer to buy $225 skylights that only had a 10 to 12 year life expectancy which is not what they told us.. Our original skylights lasted 20 years and were perfect and should have never been removed.
There was a leak from the skylight area which came down on my couch, loveseat, two chairs and all my cherry wood tables. My upstairs skylights leaked and stained my custom made king size bed spread. The roof leaked in many different places and even though the leak from the outside was repaired the HOA & mgm. company didnt bother to do anything about the damage that the contractor caused to my condo and personal belongings inside..
Worse than that, all 7 of my skylights have condensation between the two panes of glass which the manufacturer says has to be caused by the inexperienced contractor as they have never had 7 skylights being defective in one place. The HOA & the PM & her mgm. company have never come to see my damage nor have they sent an insurance adjuster. I found out later from the state of New Jersey that the roofer didnt have any insurance to cover the damage he did to our condos and personal property & it is against all ethics to hire an uninsured person to do work especially by a property manager who is supposed to have our best interests in mind.
Not only are the skylights defective but I worry about the new roof as the first time in my life, swarms of flies have entered my condo through the skylights and the kitchen lights and this never happened with the original roof. I have bugs dropping from the skylights all the time as my desk is under two & so is my bed. The skylights dont fit correctly & cause a draft and make our condos cold. Im filing a complaint with the energy commission for this injustice done to us and the PM didnt even give us the receipt to file for an energy savings.
Why kind of decent HOA president puts a lien on someones condo and tries to ruin an honest persons credit by doing this when he did everything wrong by approving what the PM wanted him to approve. The HOA president doesnt care about how much of the 86 condo owners money he wastes paying the lawyer to save him from being brought up on charges because of his conflict of interest. Did you ever hear of a HOA president who forced people to change their upscale skylights when they were only 20 years old and perfect. He used 4 different reasons & none worked until he had the lawyer lie about the credentials of the expert. . What kind of human being does this?. We coulnt even call his home because his wife might be honest and doesnt know how he is cheating the condo owners..

The next email will be from another of the scammer's fake names and free email addresses pretending to be the "lottery official" and will demand you pay for made-up fees and taxes, in cash, and only by Western Union or moneygram.
Western Union and moneygram do not verify anything on the form the sender fills out, not the name, not the street address, not the country, not even the gender of the receiver, it all means absolutely nothing. The clerk will not bother to check ID and will simply hand off your cash to whomever walks in the door with the MTCN# and question/answer. Well i have been going in a relatinship with my girl for about 4 months now. And before that i was her brothers friend. And i fill like her father doesnt like that fact that i was his friend before i went out with her and he is real old fasion and believes his friends shouldnt go out with his sister. Hes a cool guy and all dont get me wrong but i fill like he is trying to get me to change my mind about his daughter by say little tings about how she carrys hersefl. Like a few days ago she wanted to go to the store to get something to eat he said go on and gave her some money and me and her brother was at my house and im seven blocks from her house and the store is 5 blocks the other direction you do the math.
She dont like walking by herself so she comes and gets us and it was her fathers birthday and all so we had went to wallgreens to get him a b-day card and we got tow 1 for me and her brother to sign and 1 for her and her sisters to sign. But when we get back they gave him the cards and he just put them to the side didnt open them or anything and just started calling her all types of names b***Hes whores slut lien b***h you stupid f**king whore just because she walk to my house so we could walk with her and and make shore shes safe. Then this is where it start later her comes out and says to me and his son never get a girl that lies lissy lies about evey thing. And you never wont a girl thats in the streets alot lissy love to been in the streets when she was younger. Then it was another time he told me a story about lissy and her sister her sister was trying to teach her something and her sister is most def not the brightest girl i know and shes trying to teach her some thing and lissy didnt get it and he was like yea shes slow like that you have to take it slow for her to under stand.

Answer: well theres nothing you really can do. i mean hes wrong for flipping out on you. ive gone out with my brothers friends before. but just show her dad that you will treat her right. you gotta have respect for him or else he will just come out and say "you cant be with my daughter" but unless you are like ditching your friend for her or using him or something i see absolutely nothing wrong with it. try talking to him in a mature respectable manner and just say you know i like your daughter and she is very special to me why do you see something wrong with me dating her? or try talking to your girl.
