Why is America covering the Royal Wedding so heavily?
I like to wake up and surf through multiple news channels in search of interesting topics and to actually, I dont know, watch NEWS. It seems every news outlet is covering the Royal Wedding of two people in and from another country. Its like going to McDonalds and asking for a Big Mac only to be served a Whopper from Burger King. I have no issues with the Royal Wedding and I understand some people are interested in the union of these two, but should this wedding really outweigh all of the other news in the country? I would prefer one or two channels devote their programming to the wedding, but everyone has.

So I love manga. Ever since I read this manga comic ages ago.
Problem is, I CANNOT remember the name of the book! And it was in a series and Im STILL dying to know what happened next!
So... This is what I remembered it was/is about:
An king(prince soon to be king?) from another country meets an average, small, 18 year old girl while at her school. He falls in love with her and asks her to marry him/become his queen. After awhile, she accepts and falls in love with him also. They have to spend a year a part while the girl finishes school, but then finally get together again in the kings country. The girl struggles with the concept of having to be guarded everywhere, but slowly accepts it.
The story ends when the girl gets shot.
Does anyone know the name of the book/series!?

Why do people idolize Martin Luther King?
I find it rather nauseating to see Americans clamouring to honor Martin Luther King. First of all His name wasnt Martin Luther. It was Michael. His father changed his name and his sons name. He never legally changed his name and he lived and died as Michael King. While working on his dissertation for his doctoral degree at Boston University, he heavily plagiarized from another author who had done research on a subject similar to Kings. An academic committee later found that over half of Kings work was plagiarized, yet would not revoke his doctorate. As King was dead by this time, the committee ruled that revoking the title would serve no purpose. Kings famous "I Have A Dream" speech was also not his own. He stole it from a sermon by Archibald Carey, a popular black preacher in the 1950s.King was under FBI surveillance until he died due to his ties with communist organizations throughout the country. King accepted money from the organizations to fund his movements. In return, King had to appoint communist leaders to run certain districts of his SCLC (Southern Christian Leadership Conference), who then could project their communist ideas to larger audiences. One of Kings closest friends, Rev. Ralph Abernathy, wrote a book in 1989 in which he talked about Kings obsession with white prostitutes. King would often use church donations to have drunken sex parties, yet he was married with four children.The United States of America can have parades and memorials to honor this man, whom the world views as a saint for his role in the civil rights movement. No other public holiday in the United States honours a single individual. Of all the great leaders in that nations history - none of them have their own holiday. Even past presidents share Presidents Day. Yet King - an unprincipled charlatan, plagiarizer and adulterer gets a day of his own.

Answer: oh, isn't that funny- i had a series of emails, trying to get clarification on a few things, and i asked a few other questions- mostly got slurs thrown at me, and my intelligence insulted (so, i have the run of the mill education- sue me.)

Universal theme of this folk tale?
I need to find out the theme of this folk tale...
A guy is shipwrecked and needs to go home and this "Sky King" sents him a turtle that will take him back. He gets home and theres a party, and the guy forgets about giving the turtle a coconut and mat to send back to the Sky King. He tries to find it but the turtle gets speared by some fisherman. He burries the turtle down deep and then all of the people of the island try to forget about the whole thing. Sky King knows what happened and does nothing, except sends a bird to fly around that burried spot and touches a little boy. Years pass, but the little boy stays the same and lives forever. A king from another island sends three men to get the turtle. Find nothing, and ask all of the people. The little boy tells them where it is. They dont believe him but find the turtle. They keep one pieces of shell for themselves. King is angry again and wants all pieces, but they sail away to an island and they are first people of that island.
Answer: The theme is based upon gratitude and being thankful of what you have. He never thanked the turtle for thanking him and took for granted that the SkyKing buried and protected him. Still the town did nothing for the King. Even when people cam to take it all away.

When China becomes a tributary state once again, what sort of tribute will the USA offer?
In the past, China demanded that the other, weaker countries pay tribute to her in order to avoid incurring her wrath. Perhaps a king from another country might have to offer her pretty daughter in marriage to Chinas emperor. Perhaps another country might have to give up 50% of its grain harvest. Perhaps they would have to offer up their most treasured, priceless national landmark, or even construct a whole new one especially for China. What sort of tribute will China demand of the USA?
Answer: I am not sure this was ever what the kow-tow entailed.
Rather, it was an act of submission that recognised the Emperor's superior status and acceptance of all the Empire stood for, but without claiming (as it would in the West) any short-term financial gain or advantage.
I'm sure the current Chinese leaders would be flattered to receive in marriage one of Barack Obama's pretty daughters, but I really do not think this is something they would ever demand as a right.
Curiously enough, the Bird's Nest stadium in Beijing was designed by a Swiss firm of architects.
What they are really after though, is recognition of China as a great superpower with the right to its way of doing things without criticism from abroad. Respect, in other words. They would therefore expect China to be offered first pickings over any resources going, such is oil or minerals or anything else they consider essential.
Once that is established, trade is done strictly on an equal basis - there would be an equal exchange, so that a harmonious balance can be maintained, and mutual profit sustained over many generations to come, which of course benefits China far more than any baubles offered in tribute.

I'm a big George Lynch fan, and I have his Lynch Mob album "Wicked Sensation." Well I love it. I've had it for years and finally decided that for the hell of it, I'd look on amazon and see what other albums Lynch Mob created. There was an album called "Smoke This" under the list of Lynch Mob albums so of course I bought it. I received it in the mail yesterday. I was so excited I barely had the patience of ripping the plastic off. Anyway, I popped the disc in with such high antisipation and the WHOLE ENTIRE ALBUM WAS RAP!!! Ok, George Lynch, heavy lead guitarist, hard rocker... turned RAP?!?! I'm still in absolute disgust! :(

1. His name wasnt Martin Luther. It was Michael. It was decided Martin Luther had a more prominent ring to it, so he went by that. He never legally changed his name.
2. While working on his dissertation for his doctoral degree at Boston University, he heavily plagiarized from another author who had done research on a subject similar to Kings. An academic committee found that over half of King’s work was plagiarized, yet would not revoke his doctorate degree. It was also discovered that Kings famous I HAVE A DREAM speech was also not his own. He stole it from a sermon by Archibald Carey, a popular black preacher in the 1950s.
3. One of Kings closest friends, Rev. Ralph Abernathy talked about Kings obsession with white prostitutes. King would often use church donations to have drunken sex parties, where he would hire 2 to 3 white prostitutes, occasionally beating them brutally. King was married with 4 children.

By the time the original was "plagerised" an entire society had changed, thus insuring that enough time had passed for the ideas to become social capital and common intellectual property( usually life of the creator plus 50-75 years depending on the country.) As a bonus if JC was chinese he could plagerize away cause they dont acknowledge international copyright law.

I have 4 Different W2s from 2010 and I owe taxes when I add one of them to the count?
I have 1 W2 from my previous job at Burger King 2010, my current two different W2s from my currrent job as security officer I got from 2010 ( I got two because I moved and have two different state income infos.) And they appear fine and IRS owes me and I add those three. However when I add another previous job from 2010 from another security company. It says I owe the IRS. Which is total of 4 W2s.
Should I file these seperately? I tried the Turbo Tax trial version they say I owe around 500 to IRS and state owes me around 200. However when I do 1040ez by hand it says I owe less than that.
1) Wages 3,404.72 and Fed Income Tax 96.89.. Soc with held 211.09.. Med with held 49.37 State wages: 3,404 and State Income 58.00
2 And 3 are the same jobs but two different W2s because I moved to a different job while working here.
2) Wages: 16749.88 Fed income: 1808.98 Soc withheld.. 1038.49.. 6) Med withheld242.88 7) State Income 752.12
3) Wages, Fed, Soc, and Med same as 2 just state Income is: 296.99 Wages and Tips: 6782.16
