What is the difference in drama cd and anime?
when i searched up an anime on wiki, there was two voice 3 voice actors, drama, anime, and english, i usually see the voice actor for anime and english, but what is the Drama?
Answer: Drama CDs have stories and character interaction just like you'd see in anime, but it's all done with just voices, music, and sound effects. No animation. It's an audio story you just listen to. Sometimes drama CDs contain long, elaborate stories, and sometimes they'll just be short skits and extras.
Drama CDs can be released before, during, or after an anime. The ones released before an anime version exists often have different casts than the anime, although sometimes, the cast from the drama CD will be brought in to work on the anime. But in many cases, different voice actors will be used for the anime version. In the cases where a drama CD is released during or after the anime, the anime voice actors will usually be used.

How do you use Voice in Second Life?
I had a hard time getting my mic to work in Second Life. Now that its working, it is great fun. I wanted to share some resources for those trying to get started. First, there are voice mentors in-game as well as voice groups listed that can help you. Use search to find them.
There is also a wiki for SL Voice: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Voice
You need to check four things in all. Your Windows audio settings, your SL settings, your sound card settings and check the actual mic for mute button, etc.
In windows audio, check that the mic is not on mute and that boost is off.
Make sure voice is enabled in your SL settings. When changing settings around, you should disable and re-enable voice in SL to reset it and test if the changes worked.
Last, dont give up. It can be tricky and take time but if you get it going, it can be a lot of fun.

Who voiced master roshi in the english dub of dragon ball z?
I cant seem to figure it out, it didnt say on wiki. See, I liked the voice actor they had during the first dragon ball episodes, and I think that actor continued into partly into the english dub of DBZ, but I noticed towards the end of the frieza arc, master roshis voice was different. Does anyone know the voice actors that voice him throughout the series, and when each actor started and stop? Also, Im talking specifically about the english dub.
Answer: Mike McFarland voiced Roshi Muten in Dragonball and Dragonball Z.

Why is the pro-Iran War lobby supporting terrorist groups?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voice_of_America#Abdul_Malik_Rigi_interview
The Voice of America (our governments propaganda TV and radio network which only broadcasts to foreigners) had a member of Jundallah, a terrorist group linked to al-Qaida, on their show last April. They referred to his group as a member of a "popular Iranian resistance group." There were no references to his groups links with al-Qaida.
The claims about how the Iranian government has a nuclear program originate with a terrorist group known as the Mujahideen-e Khalq (MEK). Bush has publicly thanked this terrorist group (recognized as such by the US, Canada, European Union, Iraq, and Iran) for providing our government alleged information about that non-existent nuclear program that the pro-war lobby believes to exist.
Why are the supporters of war against Iran backing terrorist groups and spreading terrorist propaganda? Why should anybody take the pro-Iran War lobbys claims seriously?
Answer: And I suppose you want everyone to look this up themselves to verify if any of your accusations have any truth to them?
I have to wonder why a Wikipedia article on the VOA suddenly goes into talking about terrorist groups. I would bet you can't find any other listing of a news radio or anything similar that is non affiliated that does this.
And besides wikipedia is a quick source but not always a good source.

What is the most common female voice type?
I always thought the most common female voice type is soprano until today. I accidentally came across a wiki page about the very topic of voice type. It says the most common type in female voice is mezzo. But in my limited experience and knowledge, most females are soprano. Also, my teacher in high school who studied music in Milano said so. Which is more to the truth? Or, is it a question about classification?
Answer: Soprano. Lyric soprano, to be more exact. I read that article too - it confused me at first, but then I realised that you find more famous sopranos than mezzo-sopranos in the world. I've met many sopranos but hardly any true mezzos. Most females probably seem to be mezzos before they started training, because you need the correct technique to sing high notes properly without strain. And since most of us aren't trained, we can't sing high notes comfortably and so we look like (and think) we're mezzos instead. But once we start getting serious vocal training, we find our transition points (passagio - where you shift from chest to mixed and mixed to head voice, in pop terms) and most females' transition points are those of a soprano. And we learn to bring out our high notes without strain. It's more of where your vocal breaks are, where your comfortable zone lies and how the timbre of your voice sounds like than how high/low you can sing, that determines your vocal type.

Can any voice teachers tell me about different techniques?
Ok, I know that there is Bel Canto (which is a classical technique) and I just learned about a voice teacher Gary Catona who has his own method. How are they different?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_Catona#Voice_building_system_based_on_isokinetic_exercises
Is this very different from a classical voice teacher and building the head voice? Is it better or worse? Would you trust it?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Answer: Here's the bottom line and I'm sorry if my saying so offends any of my colleagues: Good voice teachers are rare. Vocal technique is simple enough conceptually and consists of basically two elements: Support/breath control and registration (i.e. BALANCING the chest and head voice - NOT just building the head voice). However, there's an infinite amount of room to go wrong teaching these two simple concepts, and very few people are up to the task regardless of their philosophy or approach.
Mathilde Marchesi, a very well respected voice teacher, said that there are two schools of vocal training: "The good, from which the best results are obtained, and the bad, of which the reverse is true." Marchesi hit the nail on the head. Competent voice teachers are all shooting for the same goal, but may think about it in different ways. Incompetent voice teachers come in all stripes and the only similarity is that they either don't know what good singing sounds like or don't know how to elicit it from their students.
This article on my blog touches on some of these issues:
http://www.danascheider.com/voice-lessons-myths-and-facts/
I know this answer isn't a bulleted list of different techniques and their features and merits, but I hope it's helpful anyway.

Is there a scientific explanation for EVP (electronic voice phenomenon)?
Or is it just deliberate fakery or the power of suggestion (someone tells you this is what you will hear and somehow you hear that)
For those who dont know what EVP is, heres a link:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronic_voice_phenomenon
Answer: Yes there is some scientific evidence to EVP.
My name is Chris and I am the founder or Southeastern Paranormal Research & Investigations Agency "Ghost Hunters" as some call it.
Anyways, the paranormal realm works on electromagnetic fields, hence why we you EMF meters. Energy cannot be created nor destoryed,...it just goes elsewhere, and your body is made up of energy, when you die, it doens't disappear, it goes elsewhere, hence the theories of ghosts after death.
But back to EVP's. When you speak into a tape recorder, the tape recorder has an electro-magnetic strip inside the cassette ( the actual brown tape inside the cartigridge) this tape picks up on this electro-magetic shifts and imprints them onto the tape.
You may not be able to hear them, but the tape can, as it imprints onto the tape. It's just like the Infrared specturm, with the naked eye, you cannot see it and without proper equipment, we'd have never known it existsed, but it's there and digital recorders use it all the time for nightshot and the such.
I keep veering off...i dunno why, anyways back to topic...again
I know that EVP's work because i'm always doing them while on investigations...for instance, I'd ask a question into the tape recorder, and to my surprise, once the tape was played back, I'd get a responce from outt of nowhere, imprinted on the tape.
Some people may fake EVP's but from personal expierence and dealing with it all the time in what I do, I can tell you that EVP's are very real....just try it for yourself:
Take a trusty tape recorder of anykind ( if you have a external mic, that'll be even better, if not, just make sure the tape recorder as a mic built-in.
Take to an area, perferrbly where you feel a haunting, but if not you can do it in your own home. When it's quiet, start recording by asking questions such as "What is your name" and "How old are you" and give atleast 10 seconds in between each question.
When done with at least 45 mins of tape, rewind and play the tape back wearing headphones if you can, and you might be surpised to hear an aswer to one of your questions. This is not guranteed as I've done many a EVP's but sometimes you just don't get anything at all....it's like sometimes they want to talk and sometimes they don't.
Give it a try. It's a very rewarding expierence.
If you'd like some of my own proof of EVP's I can send you some via e-mail as .mp3 files to show you what a typical EVP sounds like. Sometimes very faint...sometimes unclear, and sometimes you get the whole egg and have no problem hearing them.

Whats the easiest way to learn your voice type?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voice_type
Answer: You do it with a keyboard/piano and a microphone. You record yourself doing a scale from middle C (C4) down and middle C up. Then you playback and listen to your tone and what notes you sounded best at singing. An example is if you get your keyboard and maybe you sang right down to D2 and up to B5. You may be like oh what the hell am I??
Then you played it back. You heard your D2 gravelly with fry and your B5 was falsetto or very weak. You then heard the texture of your voice singing along the scale and decided it was quite rich or quite light or whatever.
Then you identified what notes you sung well over others and what were difficult or did not sound good.
Then you looked at the chart below and went "oh so I'm a..."
Well MANY different sources differ, but reading between the lines, its generally like this:
These are actual real ranges NOT operatic/choral ones where they were typecast/layered. I write choral music myself although I fail at singing (I'm a bass contralto who sings the Doors and Sinatra lol)
Women:
Counter soprano: B3 - anywhere glass breaking. Shrill (rare voice)
Soprano: F3 - C6 very light piercing voice (Bjork)
Mezzo soprano: D3 - F5 (Sheryl Crow) (commonest female voice)
Contralto/alto: C3 - C5 denser texture than mezzo (Amy Winehouse) lower range strong
Bass Contralto: G2 - A4 (Sonia Prina). Very heavy voice can sound androgynous. Bottom notes are louder than other notes. Can sing alto or baritone equally (rare voice)
Men:
Counter Tenor: F3 - F5 very light voice (Geddy Lee from Rush) can sound androgynous (rare voice)
Tenor: C3- C5 (same as alto) light male voice (Sting)
Baritone: G2 - G4 (Frank Sinatra) has a warm resonance (commonest male voice)
Bass: D2 - D4 (Till Lindeman from Rammstien) Booming voice - bottom notes are louder than other notes. Think Chocolate Rain ;D
Basso Profundo: sings below the bass clef down to G1 or further! (Barry White) (rare voice)
More important than range is texture. You could be a tenor and sing a baritone G2 all light and without the signature resonance or you could conversely be a baritone and not be able to give a good quality G2 but your voice is way too heavy to be a tenor. There are sub categories of voice to get all teccy. A heldentenor and a lyric baritone are the names of the types I mentioned. Very close types but only identifiable by tone rather than range.
The most common female vocal types is Mezzo, the most common male type is baritone. So unless you have an unusually high or low voice for your gender (err like I do) then you'll probably fit into those two categories.
Sourced from a lot of references, research and experience :D

voice types, alto, Contralto?
I was watching this youtube video that had a girl doing a spoof/parody about a song. i was looking through the comments and saw something about the girl having an alto voice and looked it up on google and saw it under "Voice type" on wikipedia.
Im a girl and i have a pretty low voice, which is kinda similar to a guys voice.. but when I was looking through all the voice types I saw one called Contraltoc, which is the lowest voice type for a girl.
whats the difference between an alto and a contralto for a girl? and do you think its weird if a girl has a lower voice than youd usually expect them to ?
btw, heres the video:
