Im writing an essay for a scholarship, and it says at least 500 wds, I have wrote about 600 wds, write more?
Is it a good idea to write more than at least 500 words? I have about 600 words, and I think writing more will take away from it?
Answer: If you feel you have all the information you need, stop.
Seriously, your teacher/professor has many other essays to mark and will likely be frustrated if they're handed a really long essay.
As a student I know how tempting it can be to put in a lot of information so we look like we've put in the time and effort, but as the daughter of a professor I've learned the educator is simply looking to see if you know what you're talking about and can accurately describe it from all viewpoints. Quality, not quantity, of words are important. Using too many words can hurt you as the educator feels it adds to their workload (and it really does).

How to set up linksys in wds mode?
I have a wrt54g with dd-wrt v24 on it. I want to set it up in wds mode with a https://www.demarctech.com/products/reliawave-rwr/rwr-hpg-n.htm. But for some reason when I change the wrt from ap I only have the settings of, client and repeater mode. How can I set this up? Modem-Switch-WRT-Demarc (goes left to right.
Answer: Repeater mode is sometimes WDS as well, try that. In some cases, it is called AP-WDS where it acts as a AP as well as a WDS repeater. In that case, try the Reliawave in Client mode.
Also, try bridging mode if the WRT software has it, same for RWR. Then try WDS or AP-WDS on both again...

Im curious to know if a desktop search engine, such as Google Desktop, has the ability to look for and index data held within a SQL database.
Answer: Being able to access SQL data via an index - sorta. Assuming it could access the database to begin with, a search engine would pass a query to the server containing the database, but the Query Analyzer within SQL Server would make the decision whether to use a given index or not.
Creating a whole new index - almost certainly not, a search engine would likely not have the necessary permissions to do so unless whoever created the database foolishly made such permission PUBLIC.

Answer: You using version 2 of WDS right?
You need to upgrade to the latest version where i believe the issue is fixed.
Or you can kill the wds_sl.exe when it asks and then find the file and rename it.

Answer: as far as i can tell, WDS makes a "mesh" over its coverage area, and wireless repeaters just relay the data to the next destination. using wds cuts the speed by about 1/2 with each access point. i would use WDS it i was covering a building, but repeaters if i was tranfering data between buildings. hope this helps a bit, good luck

How many pages/wds should an adolescent fantasy be roughly?
Ive kind of gotten some good answers here before from other peoples questions,
but they got yelled-at for not being detailed enough (i.e.telling the genre)
So its an "adolescent fantasy" just so everyone knows. . .
Answer: If it's a middle grade (meaning written for kids 9-12), then probably around 30,000-60,000, the longer end tending to be upper middle grade.
Young adult (for teens) is, generally, 40,000-80,000. As a new writer, best to try to keep it under 100k.
There have been books published outside of these word counts, but this is roughly what you're looking at. Fantasy is usually given some leeway as well, and fantasy writers are more likely to push the upper ends of the average word count (and beyond).
If you go to this site, you can put in titles of middle grade and young adult fantasy you've read and it will give you the word count: http://www.renlearn.com/store/quiz_home.asp
This can be helpful for getting an idea of how much the length varies, especially since it can be hard to tell based on pages or size of the book because of different fonts/formatting/paper.

How could I set MAC address and WDS on my Rosewill RNX-GX4 with DD-WRT router?
Ive been using Rosewill with DD-WRT for a while. Everything is going great! Since I need to extent the wireless area, I need to set WDS on my the other Rosewill router with DD-WRT. However, I found that because of uploading DD-WRT, two routers have the same MAC address! Could someone help me with adjust MAC address and set WDS?
Answer: I've been playing with DD-WRT for a while. Some MAC address might be cleaned when you flashed to DD-WRT (nvram cleaned), but it's easy to be sovled. Here is my suggesion:
1. write down the original MAC address in your "Rosewill" firmware (LAN MAC address)
2. After flashed to DD-WRT, the MAC will be changed to 00:90:4c:c0:00:01 or others.
3. telnet 192.168.1.1 and then input login/pw as root/admin
4. type command as following (xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx is the original LAN MAC address)
nvram set et0macaddr=xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
nvram commit
5. Exit and power of for 30 seconds and on again~DONE
PS: You could also type the command in DD-WRT's Administration>commands tab then run command and save startup script. It also works~
