Case in point, as the scientific community becomes increasingly skeptical of claims that global warming is manmade and portends a crisis, government calls for carbon dioxide (CO2) cap-and-trade systems are premature at best and economically disastrous at worst.
Far from being a dangerous pollutant, carbon is a basic component of all living cells, and life on Earth actually depends on carbon dioxide. In fact, increased CO2 concentrations make plants grow faster and bigger and provide improved food chain conditions for humans and animals. It would be criminal to classify such an essential and beneficial resource as a pollutant.
Besides being based on bad science, CO2 cap-and-trade systems threaten the nations economy and citizens financial well-being. A cap on energy production amounts to a tax on all goods and services. Multiple studies have found that a modest cap-and-trade system to limit carbon emissions according to Kyoto Protocol measures (7 percent below 1990 levels) would reduce domestic economic growth by almost 2 percent per year, increase gasoline prices by 53 percent, and raise other energy prices by 86 percent.
If the nation were to adopt Al Gores desired 90 percent reduction in carbon dioxide emissions, the resulting energy scarcity and price inflation would simply destroy the economy.
All that sacrifice would likely be for nothing. When a cap-and-trade system was implemented in the European Union, emissions actually rose by a greater percentage than in the United States. Cap-and-trade systems are notoriously difficult to enforce, and many politically connected companies in Europe have been found to be fudging the numbers and selling "unused" credits without actually reducing emissions. Europes carbon cap-and-trade systems are permeated by fraud.
In a cap-and-trade system, government essentially takes ownership of all CO2 emissions and distributes "carbon credits" to the private sector. Politicizing energy distribution and usage through cap-and-trade systems is a great way to reward politically connected energy producers at the expense of the general population, the energy consumers.
The following articles will help you gain an understanding of the environmental and economic consequences of proposed cap-and-trade systems, and the global warming alarmism that is behind such proposals. Does anyone out there actually belive this bull crap?

with all of its components will ensure cell viability over long periods of time and stable cell

permissive temperature (34◦C) in epidermal growth factor or serum. They differentiate
to a neuronal phenotype at the non-permissive temperature (39C) when induced by basic

H19-7/IGF-IR cells are established by infecting H19-7 cells with a retroviral vector

selected in medium containing puromycin.H19-7/IGF-IR cells express the IGF-IR protein.
IGF-IR is known to send two seemingly contradictory signals inducing either cell proliferation
or cell differentiation, depending on cell type and/or conditions. At 39◦C, expression
of the human IGF-IR in H19-7 cells induces an insulin-like growth factor (IGF) I dependent
differentiation. The cells extend neuritis and show increased expression of NF68. This cell
line does not express detectable levels of the SV40 T antigen. Following spin at 100 × g
for 10 minutes at room temperature; cells were re-suspended in a separation buffer (see
Table 4.1). The density of the re-suspended cells (2500 cell/mL) ensured single cell positioning
over individual electrodes. Separation buffer used for neurons contained 250 mM
sucrose/1640 RPMI (Roswell Park Memorial Institute), with a conductivity of 1.2 mS/cm
and a pH of 7.48. The separation buffer was replaced by a buffer comprising of minimum
essential medium/10% Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS)/5% Phosphate buffer saline (PBS) of
conductivity 2.48 mS/cm and pH of 7.4 suitable for cell viability.
4.3.7.2. Primary Osteoblast Culture Primary rat osteoblast cells were cultured to a
concentration of 10,000 cells in 1 mL for sensing experiments. To achieve the patterning
of a single cell over a single electrode, a 10 μL of cell culture solution was mixed with
500 μL Dulbeco modified eagle medium (DMEM; Gibco, Grand Island NY) supplemented

Which of these possibilities for the origin of life on Earth is most plausible?
THEORY ONE (SCIENTISTS)
1. Pre-biotic conditions result in the creation of certain basic small molecules (monomers) of life, such as amino acids. (This was demonstrated in the Miller-Urey experiment by Stanley L. Miller and Harold C. Urey in 1953).
2. Phospholipids spontaneously form lipid bilayers, a basic component of the cell membrane. The polymerization of nucleotides into random RNA molecules result in self-replicating ribozymes.
3. Selection pressures for catalytic efficiency and diversity result in ribozymes which catalyse peptidyl transfer (hence formation of small proteins). First ribosome is born, and protein synthesis becomes more prevalent.
4. Proteins outcompete ribozymes in catalytic ability, and therefore become the dominant biopolymer. Nucleic acids are restricted to predominantly genomic use.
Or, "THEORY" 2 (CREATIONISTS):

Answer: Thanks for your Einstinian answer. The fact is scientist don't have a clue how the first cell came about by strictly natural means. Miller and Urey proved absolutely nothing. They got a couple amino acids and not in any order. The average protein has about 330 amino acids and they have to be and they have to be in exact order. If somehow, by random chance, you actually get those in the right order(which is mathematically impossible) you still don't have a functioning protein. It has to be folded exactly right. A long polymer like that could be folded in a zillion ways(remember, we're doing all this by random chance luck). Even if it was folded exactly right by some miracle, that's only one protein. The average cell has about 60,000 and they're different. The cell is what's alive. Proteins and amino acids are not living organisms. Let's dream a little bit. Let's say we got all 60,000 proteins, all folded exactly right, consisting of an average of 330 amino acids each, all in exactly the right order and it all came together in a lab just as Miller and Urey got there 2 or 3 amino acids.......That still wouldn't prove evolution to me. If anything, that would prove intelligent design. You have a team of scientist working in a fully equipped lab with computers. They build an apparatus using gases that they thought the atmosphere was composed of (since then they've been proven wrong). They make a trap door so that after any amino acids appeared they were taken out of the mix so that they would not be destroyed. That sounds more like intelligent design than random chance evolution.
Prof Francis Crick(who along with Dr. Watson), who was a great believer in the accidental origin of life on Earth, said, “The origin of life appears to be almost a miracle, so many are the conditions that had to be satisfied to get it going.” Prof. Crick goes on to argue that this might be overcome in long periods of time. However, there is no justification for believing that time can overcome basic chemical laws.
Dr H P Yockey (in the Journal of Theoretical Biology) wrote "You must conclude that no valid scientific explanation of life exists at present… Since science has not the vaguest idea how life originated on earth, … it would be honest to admit this to students, the agencies funding research and the public".
I'll take THEORY 2(creationists) but let me re-phrase it a little bit to say what it really says: Everywhere you look in the universe there's design. Where there is design, the laws of cause and effect(which Einstein called the most reliable of all physical laws) says there must be a designer. The universe has information(DNA is a language). Information always comes from intelligence. Therefore, the designer must be an intelligent designer. You can call this intelligent designer (who is the cause of the universe) anything you want. I call Him God. Only a God could design a universe.
