Answer: when it comes directly fr MCYS - its from govt consolidated funds. MCYS has a budget for such groupings. they are still not able to hive it off to the VWO sector. if they can, they will wash their hands off this and pass on to NCSS.

What can my boss do if I dont pay the notice of 6weeks?
I am a senior teacher of a childcare for more than a year until last November when my helper created some problems for my family. In short, I had to take the unpaid leave because I had to look after my 4 primary sch going children and had to go up and down MOM Foreign Workers Dept to settle this h problem. At the same time, the childcare where I am working was taken over by another management. By end Dec I told my principal I am not keen to work with the new management, given my current situation (no helper), I may not be able to work so I decided to be a stay home mum. Until today they tried to persuade me to either continue to work with them or serve my notice of 6 weeks. I appealed to them that now I had no choice but to look after my young children and since there is a new management took over, I should not be obligated to work for them right? Do I still have to serve my notice of 6 weeks with new company? I have to go through some training (outside working hours) just to serve the notice while my children will be left on their own? I do not have the means to pay the 6 weeks notice stated at my contract with the old management. The director of the new management told me she is pending to use my name for MCYS purposes and licencing too, do they have any right to do that if I am no longer working with them? Pls advice
Answer: As you will be breaking your Contract of Employment which your new employer will have taken over from your old employer, your new employer does not have to pay you any holidays still outstanding or indeed 6 weeks pay. Your new employer also has no right to use your name in anything or for any reason once you have left their employ.

In Singapore, Foreign Workers under S-Pass are Untouchables!?
Do you know that under Ministry of Manpower (MOM) work pass framework, a S Pass holder is not subject to their (MOM) Marriage Restriction Policy (MRP),
hence if a S Pass holder working in Singapore can have an affair with a married person and break-up the family.
As per MOM, the S Pass holder has not contravened any of MOMs work pass conditions on breaking up a family.
According to the MOM, they can just empathize with the affected person whos trying to save the family from breaking-up but they will not take any action towards the Foreign Worker under S Pass whos the cause for breaking-up the family.
This seems like, The Ministry of Manpower, Singapore is SENDING A MESSAGE to their citizen and foreign workers;
1. That S Pass holders contribution to the countrys economic growth is more important rather than a citizens family break up by a S Pass holder is least important.
Thats your own family problem la....
2. If any Singapore Citizen found out that their spouse is having an affair with a S Pass holder (foreign worker), either you live with it or leave it as it is, thats your faith.
You are ENCOURAGE TO FILE A DIVORCE, if you cant live with it.
ON THE OTHER HAND;
3. Why if a Foreign Domestic Worker (Maid) found having an affair with married person, her Work Permit is being cancel and she is been repatriated out of the country ASAP.
Furthermore, shes banned from entering Singapore in future because a maid is breaking up the family.
a) Is it because it a "SHE" or shes a maid working under work permit.
b) Is it because a married woman has file a complaint or is affected.
4. What if a Woman under S Pass (not a maid) is having affair with a married person?
a) Will MOM cancel her S Pass? or
b) Since shes under S Pass, she has not contravened any of MOMs work pass conditions on breaking up a family.
From what I view, S Pass holders are "Untouchables" in Singapore, Jolly well, have affairs with married spouse and enjoy breaking-up a family.
Then, it becomes meaningless for the Ministry Of Community Development, Youth And Sports (MCYS) promoting about Family Harmony or To Avoid Family Violence....
all these promotions are just cover-up in the front end... BS
Good News to S Pass holders is, their S Pass will not be affected, they can continue to work in Singapore and have affairs and break-up families.

Can a sch operator run a private childcare without any qualifications in early childhood education? which is more appropriate to report to.. MCYS or MOE?
Answer: Anyone can operate a child care center without a licence. It is up to the operator to be above suspicion and to operate a quality center by hiring experienced people, having a curriculum in place, and observing all safety and health guidelines. I would be suspicious if none of these were met and there were many accidents. It is easier to monitor a licenced center than an unlicenced one. If there is anything going on, report the operator to the Ministry of Children and Youth Services.

Whos at fault in this rear end collision?
Another motorcycle and I were riding in staggered formation on a 2 lane road in a rain (daytime). The rain suddenly became heavy with lightning. I wear glasses and my vision became very obscured by the mist coming around my windshield and from the road. I signaled with my turn signal, and right hand that I was getting off the road. I pumped my brakes and slowed from aprox.30 mph to 5 mph and moved to the right side of the lane ( I had been in the left tire track) in preparation to get on the shoulder. The other rider hit me in the right rear and right side, causing both of us to go down. Minor damages to both Mcys., none to me, his knee broken. Police report said weather was to blame, no citations to us. Now his lawyer is suing me for negligence. My ins. co. has paid max. of my policy liability, saying it looks like easy way for them to go. Can I be found negligent? I felt unsafe on the road, I signaled to turn and stop, he hit me from behind and right, which I believe was still my lane.

MSAD and Grumpy Ol Git bring up the point that seems contrary to what I have believed for the 50 yrs. I have been riding. No matter which tire track the lead mcy. is in, that mcy. CONTROLS that Track. Do not confuse track with lane. Legally one mcy. cant pass another on the right in the same lane. If that is correct, I did not cut him off or come into "his" lane. Is this point wrong?

Answer: Sounds to me like you cut the other driver off when you moved from the right ln to the left lane causing the collision.
That would be why your insurance company paid him for his damage.
