Facebook is closing down on the 15th. of March. I checked today’s date twice just to make sure that this is no April Fool’s joke and I am not dreaming or being taken for a ride. Till now, I still do not believe the news. I mean, Facebook, the one who kicked Google to second placing for having the most number of users, can it be shut down just like that? No buyers? No bidders? I am sure it is worth many many a billions. According to this article from Weekly World News dated January 8th, 2011, Facebook will indeed end on March 15! And it did not seem like a joke. As to why, Mark Zuckerberg has only this to say. “Facebook has gotten out of control,….. and the stress of managing this company has ruined my life. I need to put an end to all the madness”…..“I don’t care about the money,” …..“I just want my old life back.” The reason sounds logical enough for me. Sometimes it is not all for the money. Buthen, I am very sure Mr. Zuckerberg has made more than enough to last him 3 generations. So to hell with any more money. It’s time to enjoy life.
