Survival Horror Games Recommendations for PC?

Ok Im a real Horror seeker, I love horrific games that are designed to get under my skin. Ive been searching through Google, found quite a bit of links but it seems they all say the same thing( games I already know about). Games Ive played: Call of Cthulhu DCOTE, FEAR, The Suffering( but for the console), Diablo( although its barely close), Doom( from classic to ROE), Obscure Demo( kinda sucked), and some flash game that uses real pics as the areas you explore( a Point N Click kinda game, apparently theres a full version but I sadly cant remember the name, also its FPS PnC game. MAJOR plus if you know the name of this game!!) So if anyone can help me find a REALLY TERRIFYING game that is worth playing through the insanity ( includes MMOs and console games released for Emulators, provided my CPU can run it lol). Also a note on my hardware( just in case): 5900 GeForce, 2.4 Gb( Pentium 4), 768mb Memory sticks, and a max of 80gb HD space, also WinXP. Please help a fellow gamer.. Note to irreleventjoker: already played FEAR & some RE games have bad camera angles( hate games where you can control the camera angles). Heard quite a bit about SH, but I forgot to mention Parasite Eve as one of the games Ive played. But sadly I was never able to find a PE2 for Emus that actually works( it loads the PS1, the black screen after the white screen with the Sony logo, but then freezes *sad face*). Answer: the Resident Evil series, the Silent Hill series (my favourite), Parasite Eve, most of these were originally on PS1 so can be emulated and most have been officially ported to PC and are available on the cheap (you migget better playability from these). I really recomend the silent hill series, it will make you sleep with the lights on if you can sleep at all!

Answer: It's not super amazing, but it's nothing to laugh at. I have a similar computer and it does everything I want it to. If you're a gamer, just upgrade the video card to like a 7600GT and add another gig of RAM and it should handle most modern games with ease, (That's what I did to my computer)

Answer: It sounds like it is loaded with a lot of crapware (programs you don't need. You will need to remove those. Also, it wont be terribly fast and it doesn't have the best processor. It only comes with a trial of office and a very basic version of windows. Also,not too much RAM. I recommend skipping the opportunity or if it is at a good price, upgrade some things. Best of luck in finding a new computer. Also, it appears that every program it comes with is free and you dont have to pay for.

How can I crop uneven-colored margins on scanned pdf documents?

Hello, I have a bunch of scanned pdf documents and I would like to crop the margins on each page. I would like to do this in an automated way, as the number of pages to process is in the hundreds. Unfortunately, the color of the margins is not even, because the scanner was larger than the paper documents and the lid did not cover them evenly. As a result, the color of the margins on a single page can vary across the whole grayscale between full white and full black. So far, I have tried ImageConverter, which picks out page margins by color filtering, but it has been quite ineffective because the color varies so much. Off the top of my head, the solution for my problem would be a tool that picked out the text areas and cropped the page accordingly, but I couldnt google up anything like that. It would be a big plus if it were free, but I guess I can live with paying up to the 150-200$ price range, provided the software maker looked legit, the software were really worth it, and a demo version were available. Answer: Well, Photoshop will do exactly that. It can load a PDF page, detect the content area and automatically crop out the margins. It will only process 1 page of a PDF at a time, but you can create an Action and run it as a batch command. The bad thing about this is when you go to save the modified PDF, it saves it in Photoshop's PDF format, which I've found to not fully compatible. Strange, since it's from the same company. For multi-page PDFs, Acrobat (not the Acrobat Reader) has a crop tool where you have to manually draw the region to crop, but you can do that just once and apply the crop to all the pages. But you would have to be sure that all the pages have the same margin widths.

I have a cell number and i also added a google voice number with a voicemail box. I am trying to change the voicemail greeting to an automated recorded message of my number and the typical "leave a message after the tone" But I cannot get it to record on my voicemail greeting correctly it is always waay too choppy and fuzzy like it is fake. My computer was recently infected with spyware/adware, but its no longer showing signs. What should I do?

Last night, I installed a demo for a game so that my cousin can play it. It looked very legit because it was on an actual CD. I let my cousin play the game for a while. Later, I continued using the computer, and there were no problems at all whatsoever. However, today, when I was using the computer, I noticed that pop-up ads were popping up even when I went to sites such as Google. Plus, the pop-up windows were supposedly coming from Internet Explorer even though I was using Firefox. On the top-left corner, it still showed the Firefox logo. I also noticed that these pop-up windows were still popping up even when I wasnt surfing the internet. My computer also turned really slow, which was a hassle for me because I could barely get anything done. I later deleted two programs: AIM and the game demo. After a while, things started to get better. I tried out surfing the internet again, and there were no more pop-up windows. Ive noticed that there are a lot of reports out there about AIM giving your computer malware, so I didnt want to take any chances. Also, the game which my cousin brought to me was free, so some free softwares out there give your computer adware and possibly even spyware as an alternative of purchasing the actual software. When I was installing the game, I noticed that it also asked for registration, which is optional and can be ignored. As Im typing this, everything seems completely back to normal. So what should I do now? I already ran several scans, but I didnt finish them after I got the feeling that my computers safe. But still, do you think my computer is completely safe and normal again or should I do something about it? As far as I can see, everythings fixed back to normal.
Answer: Try to download and install the Malwarebytes , update it and scan the computer with malware bytes . hope this will solve your issue .
