Who proposed the electron cloud theory and when?
Can you pleaaaaseeee tell me who came up with the idea of the electron cloud?
Can u recommend any websites please?
Answer: the idea of an electron cloud is a consequence of quantum mechanics and the Copenhagen interpretation of QM. People involved were Heisenberg, Schroedinger, Bohr, Born, etc. BTW it's not really an electron cloud but rather a result of the probablistic nature of QM measurements.

does anyone know anything about the electron cloud of lithium?
i need to know some infor about the electron cloud of lithium for my science project.
it would be GREATLY appreciated if you could help me out on this subject!!
thanks a bunch!
Answer: Lithium, Li, has an atomic number 3. It has 3 electrons. The first 2 are in the first energy level as far away from each other as possible. The last one is in a higher energy level farther from the nucleus, by it self.

How hot does the cathode need to get before it emits an electron cloud?
Im using a small CRT from a small TV. I was just wondering how hot the cathode has to get before it starts to emit the electron cloud. Any info on the topic would be very helpful.
Answer: Those of us who can still remember vacuum tubes recall that the filaments had to glow a dim orange--of course that worked, but cathodes were attached later for improved emmissions, and they glowed, too. I would suggest about 1,000 degrees, just what it takes to cremate someone.
By the way, did you know that our Creator is a man of science? In fact, he wrote a mathematical code for intelligent people to crack. Check it out at:

Can someone descibe to me atom using electons, neutrons, nucleus, and electron cloud?
thankz
Answer: At the core of an atom, you have the Nucleus, which is made up of Neutrons and Protons. A neutron is neutral charge, and a proton is positive charge. A round the Nucleus, you have electrons, which have a negative charge. This has sort of a solar system look, with the nucleus being the sun and Electron Cloud being the planets.

in what year did schrodinger modify the wave equation and make our current model of the electron cloud?
he modified the equation to form classical physics to fit the concept. In the equation, Schrodinger relates the probability region directly to the energy region. In the result of this action a plot of equations provides a three dimensional picture of the electron cloud. Schrodinger’s theory of the atom is our current model of the electron cloud.

44. What is the difference between an orbital and the electron cloud?
44. What is the difference between an orbital and the electron cloud?
please help with this one
Answer: An atomic orbital is a mathematical function that describes the wave-like behavior of either one electron or a pair of electrons in an atom. This function can be used to calculate the probability of finding any electron of an atom in any specific region around the atom's nucleus. The electron cloud of a many-electron atom is partly “composed” of atomic orbitals, each containing only one or two electrons. Together they form a spherical area around the nucleus, like the atmosphere of Earth.

Can someone tell me the main points for the Electron Cloud?

All I want to know is 5 main points or ideas that the Electron/ Wave cloud supports. Okay?
Thanks to anyone who answers. I really appreciate it! Really!
Answer: The cloud model of the electron orbital:
1) Describes the wave-like nature of the electron in orbit around the nucleus, versus the
Bohr model which was more like planets orbiting a sun.
2) Can be thought of as a representation of the probability of finding the electron at
any point in the space around the nucleus.
3) The orbitals can be described by the Schrodinger equation for each atom.
4) Each orbital is defined by a different set of quantum numbers, which tell us about
the electrons angular momentum, and the shape of the orbital.
5) The change to the cloud model can be considered a direct consequence of quantum mechanics
and Heisenberg uncertainty, which dictates that the electron in its orbit cannot have an exact
location in space.
