Where should I start in Green Lantern if i want to read blackest knight?
I saw this while reading up on wiki about dc heroes. i came upon green lantern which i think is one of the most interesting stories ive seen.
so yea what issue should i start reading if i want to read blackest knight?
Answer: I recommend you pick up Blackest Night #0 in comics stores on May 2, 2009, Free Comic Book Day -- it's free, and meant to be a primer on Blackest Night.
If you want to spend a little more, most of the modern Green Lantern series by Geoff Johns (and Green Lantern Corps) is collected in trade paperback format. The books are:
Green Lantern: Rebirth
Green Lantern: No Fear
Green Lantern: Revenge of the Green Lanterns
Green Lantern: Hal Jordan—Wanted
Green Lantern: The Sinestro Corps War Vol. 1
Green Lantern: The Sinestro Corps War Vol. 2
Green Lantern: Tales of the Sinestro Corps War
Green Lantern: Secret Origin
Green Lantern: Rage of the Red Lanterns
Green Lantern: Agent Orange
That'll take you pretty close to Blackest Night.

If musicians were to form a new Justice League, which artists would be saving the world?
Happy Friday, R&P!!! :)
I asked a question not too long ago about musicians becoming superheroes and what their super powers would be, but Ive put a slight twist on it here. Which musicians would be the best fit to be these already-existing superheroes?
Superman
Batman
Wonder Woman
Flash
Green Lantern
Aquaman
Martian Manhunter
This was the original line-up, but if you have any you would like to add feel free. And why you choose each one is up to you...
Additional info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justice_League
Hey, Silver!
James - Britney as the Flash...classic!
Master C - wait...theres a band named after Tippi Hedren? *giggle*
Hey, Darth!
Hi, Bowzer! :)
Yes...you, Darth & a few other gentlemen inspired yesterdays Avril question. *giggle*
Answer: Wow... what I perfect question for a self-professed Batman and JLA geek.
Superman - Jon Bon Jovi, the ultimate boy scout... has that guy ever done anything and gotten any flack for it?
Batman - Jack Blades, he's so bad@ss, he can even take Superman out.
Wonder Woman - Susanna Hoffs, because she'd look AWESOME in that costume. ... and I swear I'd tell the truth if she tied me up with her lasso.
Flash - Axl Rose. Why? Although his character is the fastest man alive, poor Barry Allen is *never* on time. (Hey, I told you I was a JLA geek.)
Aquaman - Ringo Starr, completely useless except for one episode a year / one song an album.
Martian Manhunter - Billy Corgan. That dude looks so f*cked up, he's GOT to be from another planet.
and
Green Arrow - Ted Nugent, no explanation needed.
Black Canary - Allison Robertson (guitarist for the Donnas)... I'm not sure why, I just want to see her in the fish nets.
The Wonder Twins - Nelson
... and I am unfortunately drawing a blank on Green Lantern. Damn.
... and before anyone mentions it, let me just put in a pre-emptive "I know" and say that "I know" that Barry Allen is no longer The Flash because he died in the 1st Crisis and blah blah blah.

Blackest Night reading order?
This may be a completely n00b question to ask, but Ill ask anyway. I went to my local bookstore to buy Blackest Night by Geoff Johns, but there were several Blackest Night stories to choose from. I knew which one to read first, but after that, Im not too sure. I found a guide online (http://www.dccomics.com/sites/greenlantern/?action=checklist) that says the reading order goes like this:
1. Blackest Night
2. Black Lantern Corps Vol. 1
3. Black Lantern Corps Vol. 2
4. Green Lantern
5. Green Lantern Corps
6. Tales of the Corps
But then on Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blackest_Night#Collected_editions), it says the order goes like this:
1. Blackest Night
2. Green Lantern
3. Green Lantern Corps
4. Tales of the Corps
5. Black Lantern Corps Vol. 1
6. Black Lantern Corps Vol. 2
7. Rise of the Black Lanterns
I need some help please! I dont want to read it out of order. Thanks!
Answer: If you read how Wiki has it you should be fine either way its the same story no real changes. You should be able to understand what is going on no matter how you read it.

A mathematical formula developed in a sci-fi book that I have forgotten the name of originally developed to re-stabilize a star that also demonstrated how a series of specifically timed laser cannon strikes on any stable star could artificially trigger that star to go nova and strerilize a sphere several light-years wide.
A device from another forgotten sci-fi book that neutralized gravity on any object, some terrorists in that book threatened to use it on a star, thus cancelling the balance that keeps a star from exploding and releasing all of its stored energy of a million year period at once, a character in the book said it would sterilize everything within a spherical 200 light-year radius.
An original idea of my own from a NOVA program on hypernovas which occur when a star larger than the ones that make supernovas explode, these stars begin the normal explosion phese of a supernaova but during the contraction phase which makes a black hole, the gamma energy is focused into two concentrated beams by the intense gravitational forces of this contraction.
According to NOVA, these beams would concentrate all the radiation of the star explosion into two laser-like beams at opposite poles of the contracting blackhole that has an effective range of several thousand light years and can sterilize any solarsystems caught in the beams path,THIS IS WHAT SCIENTISTS BELIEVE TO BE A FACT!!! My idea is simply this,
what if an extremely advanced alien race could artificially trigger and aim hypernovae?
Another original idea and THE MOST POWERFUL WEAPON I CAN THINK OF:An extremely advanced gravity inversion device that can temporarily alter gravity from an attractive force to a fluctuating attractive/repulsive force aimed at the super massive black hole that most scientists believe to be at the center of every galaxy. This would result in a spreading shock wave of opposing gravitational forces that would tear apart stars and planets in the innermost sections of said galaxy, mid-way out from the center, the gravitational forces would be strong enough to trigger most of the stars in that reigon to go nova, vaporizing any planets orbiting those stars, in the outer portions of the main galactic body, severe fluctuations in radiation output of many stars would be triggered sterilizing most planets, the gravitational forces would also strip those star systems of thier respective planets, making any planets that were not sterilized totally uninhabitable. Answer: I could see Common playing John Stewart. Michael Jai White has already gotten his shot at comic book stardom when he played Spawn. He would be my other candidate for this role. Rumor mill has it that Tyrese Gibson is scheduled to play Luke Cage (Power Man). Terrance Howard is already in line to play War Machine in the Iron Man sequel. Wesley Snipe did the Blade series beside he will be in dispose pretty soon. Perhaps the only other person that could play John Stewart is Will Smith. I think Common would give the character more edge than Will Smith. Being a light skinned or dark skinned Black man will not be the deciding point for me as to who will play this role. I mean Denzel Washington played Malcolm X and other than being Black and a man he has no physical similarity to Malcolm X. Denzel give an Oscar worth performance in that role. Common has become a hot commodity for action movies here of late. That is a good thing for him...

Answer: Probably because this newer version of Nick Fury is in a "spin off" comic series. This new version (sometimes called "Ultimate Nick Fury") is part of the "Ultimates" comic series. He was specifically modeled after Samuel L. Jackson.
As for Green Lantern, you do realize that there's more than one, right? The various Green Lanterns are male, or female, or even alien. John Stewart, the Black Green Lantern, is just one of the many incarnations of the character.

and an ai interface that knew and taught advanced military strategy, This gun was smuggled onto a war-torn plant where it fell into the hands of a homeless boy, who proceeded to use it to literally take over that planet.
A ship-mounted cannon mentioned in a sci-fi book that I have forgotten the name of that used a combination of magnetism and artificial gravity to accelerate metallic projectiles to light speed resulting in an almost complete mass-to energy conversion on impact with target.
CATEGORY 5, OTHER: EXAMPLES
Green Lanterns Ring, Silver surfers surfboard, Cerebro (from X-men)
CATEGORY 6 MASS DESTRUCTION: EXAMPLES
A satellite laser cannon from "The New Adventures of Superman" that could reduce targets of unspecified maximum size to ashes (the man who created it planned to destroy West Virginia, but his more moderate accomplice suggested Antarctica)
An original idea of my own of twin laser-like beams that converge on a single point, from which would grow a sphere that can be a few feet to several hundred miles wide and neutralizes the molecular bonds of anything caught within that sphere, thus reducing everything within that sphere to its component elements, with no explosions or collateral damage. called the molecular disruptor (please suggest better names)
CATEGORY 7: SUPER MASS DESTRUCTION EXAMPLES
Death Star, de-planetizer (from Ratchet&Clank),Drej Mothership (from TITAN A.E.)
CATEGORY 8 ULTIMATE MASS DESTRUCTION:
EXAMPLES
Finally, in the out
Answer: Well, it depends on your definition of "makes some sense." :-)
The most powerful weapon I've ever come across is from the anime Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, which can throw galaxies as weapons. Given enough energy, I suppose that's theoretically possible.
The most powerful weapon I can think of besides that is the "category 8" Black Hole Cannon from Space Runaway Ideon. It basically generates a black hole in front of the weapon, with an energy shield between the weapon and the black hole, creating a kind of directed funnel.
