How is chemical engineering course in Temasek Polytechnic school in Singapore?
Are you from Singapore? How is the "Diploma in Chemical Engineering" course in Temasek Polytechnic school in Singapore?
Please describe the plus and the minus points of joining this course in as much detail as you can.
____________.
Answer: Yes. Poly standards in Singapore are pretty good.
Pros: Good education, great practical sessions,
Cons: Jobs, career
The problem with Diploma is your starting pay is not going to be high. If it's 2K then that's considered good. Also once you get in you need to work much longer to get in to a higher position. Typically in O&G sector it takes 10 years+ to have managerial roles. so it's up to you..

I would love to know whatever happen to a girl named Melissa Toh from Singapore Temasek Poly who passed on.?
Why is it such a big news and with so many people crying for her? What made her took the step?
PS: i do not encourage or even respect those who end their life due to BGR. Its stupid and irresponsible. Stupid act of foolishness! Useless thrash and unfillial to their parents who brought them up with so much love.
And to those who think i am being rude, I am saying what i said as a MOTHER of two kids. Having testimonials of all the good things a person did do not prove right ending their own life. And for asking questions here is because i see pages on social websites treating her like an angel which is obviously a negative form of encouragment to others to follow suit. And when i say useless trash...etc i was referring to common all and not just her so read it clearly.

Where along the Singapore Grand Prix circuit can we go to get a glimpse?
I saw the map and the circuit goes around Bras Brah Road, North Bridge Road, St. Andrews Road, Raffles Boulevard, Connaught Drive, Esplanade Drive, Raffles Avenue and Temasek Avenue.
Probably most of the areas will be for ticket holders. I could not get the single day pass and the 3 day was a little out of my budget. I really want a glimpse. Please tell me where I could try my luck.
Answer: Even people who bought grand stands tickets get only a glimpse. The view marred by the protective barrier which means you can only see straight ahead. The cars turn at corners towards the spectators so they see only the top whizzing by, so they get only the buzz saws sound effect and engine screaming but its too loud so they wear ear plugs. You can hear that so no need to be nearby. You can also travel down Sheares bridge by car to Rochor Road and be able to catch glimpses. Pedestrians are not allowed there obviously.

how does life in Singapore look like?
My wife and I are planning to move to Singapore and considering to study at Temasek Polytechnics.Any ideas and tips for education, housing, immigration, business opportunities etc. Also people are claiming that weather condition over there is unbearable due to high humidity. Is it true? What about people? Hot-blooded or self-centered? Thanks in advance.
Answer: Erms, I'm not sure where you're from, but it won't be easy to get a residency pass, unless you apply as students or as employed workers.
The universities are arguably better (National University of Singapore- ranked top 20 in the world) than the polytecnics, but the polytechnics are really good too
Employment is relatively stable now, so finding a job shouldn't be as hard as it was a couple of years ago. Check out www.monster.com.sg or JobsDB to have a look at the kind of jobs available and the kind of qualifications needed.
The weather is rather warm (27-28 degrees celsius). However, you will get used to it and if you're a westerner, you should love the sun- most die to sit outside and tan. But it is humid. Bearable though. Very very bearable. Might take some getting used to, but ultimately it's pleasant.
The people. Hm...Well, people here are very competitive in studies and quite hardworking. The emotional side- they have been said to be impolite, but seriously, services is our forte so you shouldn't be faced with any big problems. It's just that the people who are considered "rude" are often people like those in NY and London, who are just to busy to pause.
The pace of life is mediocre and the city thrives day and night with action. The heartlands are quieter, but have their fair share of action.
Don't worry about racism. Compared to other countries, it's practically non-existent and taken very very seriously. We are a very multi-racial country.
It's a clean place...very green too (artificial greenery in the sense that it's not all forest). And also, it might be important for you to know that in terms of stability and peace, the country is well-off.
Our currency is pretty strong and the place is really peaceful- we have very diplomatic heads. :S
Erms...housing and cars are really quite expensive compared to other countries, but you can check up more on those using google. The housing estates (even the public ones) are well mantained and clean, so no worries there.
You'll like it, I'm sure.
Cheers
