What does it take to get accepted into the student ambassador program?
I got the letter for the 14 day Europe trip. I have a reservation for the informational meeting but what does it take for them to accept you. I know I need to get interviewed and have three letters of recommendation but what do they look for when accepting or rejecting you? Is it hard to get Accepted? I know its a bit pricey but if Im Accepted Im going to try and raise the money. Any tips on help with getting Accepted? Thanks
Answer: In 7th grade I got denied for being too shy. Idk about high school, I'd assume it's the same. Only question I can remember they ask was something along the lines of "What are you most excited about for this experience?" The schoolmate next to me gave some long answer about culture, meeting people, gaining world knowledge, and basically for a 7th grader it was a BS answer, but they believed it so wtvr. After he went on and on I was like wtf so I just said "Uhhm, the snorkeling?" and well that didn't really work in my favor. Don't act shy, and act more excited than I was in 7th grade. I have no idea how many people get Accepted I might try again I'm looking that up and idk.
EDIT:= I looked it up more, It's not technically a scam but it basically is. Your experience isn't much more (less kind of) than what a tourist gets, for waaaay more money than what a tourist pays for. You could still have a good time on the trip but it's dramatically overpriced.

How hard is it to get accepted to study abroad?
I really want to go. The minimum GPA is 2.7 and mine is only a little above a 3.0 ( had a bad semester and Im working on it). But Im worried I might not get Accepted. Does anyone know whether they generally accept just about everyone who qualifies or is it very selective? I know it probably depends on the university but Im wondering if anyone knows in general. Thanks a lot guys!
Answer: depended on how long you want to study abroad and the classes. some do have requirements, like languages, and some do not.
go for a year, is harder, more requirements, go during the summer
i went studying abroad for the summer in Germany, France and Swizerland. i didnt speak any of their languages. applying is not hard at all, is more like first come first serve.
all i did was sign up, got my plane ticket, and i off i went
hope you get in and have it good time

What happens if you get accepted to transfer to a 4year university but you didnt finish your units?
I Got Accepted to transfer to a 4 year University in the fall as a Junior, but I might be shy one math class and consequently 3units (they want 60completed units.... I might just have 57). Could this mess up my chances of getting in on time or Im I safe because Ive already been Accepted? Does any one have first hand experience with this?
Answer: You are essentially Accepted on the understanding that you will have completed your units. Think of it this way, most people get Accepted to college before they graduate high school. If I fail to complete high school, I can't very well go to college, can I? Without having completed the requirements, you were provisionally Accepted. If you don't hold up your part of the deal, then you are not Accepted.
Call the admissions department and make sure. Also, if you ARE shy one math class, then take it in the summer so you can go in the Fall.

What is the legal definition of accepted practice?
Im doing a report for my uni work about damage caused by incomplete handbrake repair. (The car rolled into a summerhouse and some other things were broken). The defendant is arguing that his actions were Accepted practice which is backed up by an expert report each on both sides. But how would you legally define Accepted practice? Are there any cases that refer to it or have applied it?
Answer: Interesting question - I think that you're looking at the Bolam test and the wiki link refers but this is modified by Bolitho. The very short summary, and I think that you should read both the Wiki articles and articles on Westlaw, is that Bolam holds that if professionals in the field would have carried out a procedure in the same way as the instant case then professional negligence may be discounted but this is modified by Bolitho which holds that the decision as to whether an action is professionally negligent or not rests with the court and not expert evidence.
Other cases are on the wiki pages but please read at least the headnotes of these rather than relying on wiki.

What University degrees are accepted for a Chinese work visa?
I am currently in China with a TEFL certification, but have been told by the school i interviewed with that i need a 4 year degree to teach. Does anyone know which universities the Chinese government accept for work visas? I have all but 10 credits needed for my degree but would like to know which ones are Accepted so that i do not make the wrong choice.
But how does China check accredited degrees when the USA is the only country that i have found with any accreditation associations?
Answer: Any four-year degree from an accredited university would be Accepted. I know English teachers who have degrees in art history, Asian studies, business, engineering, English, women's studies, mathematics, etc.
China recognizes accredited universities around the world.
EDIT: Most universities now have websites. It's easy to check whether or not a degree is from a legitimate school or not. And yes, more and more hiring agencies (and the Public Security Bureau who issues the Z visas) are checking credentials.

How your decision can be accepted relatively easily?
Which of your skills are Accepted easily that your decision truly matters for other people?
Or question becomes, how your skills are Accepted that your decision truly matters for other people, for their life.
Answer: A little confused with the wording. I am gifted with artistic skills, when people want to decorate something they ask for my opinion. People ask advice about their hair-men and women.
I am also skilled in caretaking and some nursing. People listen when I give medical advice, which is not often and not about serious things because I'm not a doctor.
I also found that people have been telling me that they value my opinion about relationships, friendships, biblical questions, children issues-(which is a little strange because I don't have any yet and everyone tells me I would be a great mother, I'm an adopted aunt to many), I have been told "Your discernment is on point when it comes to what kind of people are around you. I didn't even see that coming!"
I also don't talk about the things others share with me and therefore everyone likes to come to me for advice. They know it's not going anywhere and I'm not going to judge them.

What does it mean to get accepted for a degree in an accelerated major? Is it Upper Division?
I got Accepted into an accelerated program for an architecture major at FIU. Now what does this mean? Does it mean I will be taking upper division classes or that I wasnt able to get Accepted into the normal architecture school? Is it harder then regular and is it suppose to be like an honor or something getting Accepted or graduating with this? Please help answer all these question?
Answer: Accelerated major means that you will be studying at a much faster rate than the normal. So if normal architecture course takes 5 years to graduate, then you could graduate as early as 4years. Of course it is much harder and selected students are only Accepted.

How to be accepted in a good internship program in Europe?
Hi.
I am a student from Albania and I study Business.
What extracurricular activities would give me a chance to be Accepted in Google Internships Europe, or any other good company?
Thanks
Answer: well if your are a student then your consulor should be able to tell you and have informations about companies that give scholarships. Just ask someone at your school. Do not forget tho to do a resumee first where you list your academic and working experiences. Or what you could do is find the company's number even if the main location is in USA they should still be able to give you a number that you could call for internships in Europe. Internet is the best tool when it comes to this if the school doesnt provide you with the needed info. Pac fat :)

How hard is it to get accepted into the Peace Corps?
Right now Im in my sophomore year of college, and Im majoring in education. I want to join the Peace Corps right after I graduate college and get my degree! I have plenty of volunteer experience- anywhere from tutoring to coaching basketball. And theres nothing more I would love then joining, but Im very worried I wont be Accepted!! What are the chances? And is there anything I could do during the next two years to increase my chances of being Accepted??
Answer: The hardest part about the application process is actually the length, not getting Accepted. Little secret no one finds out until they are pretty far into it.
First, you complete an online application about your personal stuff and then health, also must do 2 essays and have 3 people submit recommendations. Then you are mailed what I call a "legal kit" which includes finger print cards, background check form, transcript request, and usually description of 2-3 possible work areas and worksheets that accompany each of them....and if either of these apply to you, a vegetarian worksheet and romantic involvement worksheet. Then your are contacted by your recruiter and interviewed, then nominated (which means "we may send you here to do this work in this month/year--but it could change"). Next you receive your medical packet which requires a physical & dental exam, eye exam if it applies to you, and usually some specialist sheets (I had 3!). Always do that as quick as you and send it back, because sometimes they have to get back to you about medical stuff and that can take time. Then you wait, wait, wait and get dentally, legally, and medically cleared--some people get "medical restrictions" which just means there are certain countries you can and cannot go to. Then you wait wait wait again for an official invitation.
Seems insane right? That's why I say the length of the process is the hardest part.
Almost everyone who applies gets Accepted if they stay with the process. If you do not drop out on your own accord, then getting Accepted is easy.
Many people without a lot of work experience or volunteer experience get Accepted--like me! And it sounds like you already have a good deal of experience, so I am sure you'll be fine. If you want to get some more experience in your next 2 years, I would look on the PC website at the type of work areas they do. Looking at those can give you an idea of what you would really like to do in the PC--maybe you want to work in Youth Development or TEFL (teaching english).....then I would suggest volunteering or working with stuff that is specifically geared towards that. If you prefer Youth, do something with Boys & Girls Club, Big Bro Big Sis, YWCA, at-risk youth, summer camps, day cares, etc. If you want TEFL, for example, do stuff like tutoring other college students, teaching campus classes or community or library classes, tutor kids/at-risk youth, tutor foreign students in English.....etc. See how you can gear your work and volunteering towards what you most want to do? That'll help a lot.
Also, if you are interested in a particular region you could always take some language classes. ie. Spanish for Latin America, French for francophone Africa, Portuguese for certain African Countries, Arabic for N. Africa/Middle East, Russian for some Eastern European and Central Asian countries.
Them seeing you have volunteer and work experience shows that you are committed and driven.
So, I guess that's my answer, things like that are what you could do to improve your "resume" for the PC. But really, to be honest, if you apply and stick with it, being Accepted ("invited") is easy, the only hard part is the length and wait!

What is the accepted scientific volume of a cylinder?
I am doing an Acc. Honors Chemistry lab report, and to calculate the Error and %Error, i need to know the Accepted scientific volume of a cylinder. Would anyone happen to know exactly what that is? Thank you for your answers!
I do mean a graduated cylinder, apologize for not being specific enough.
I do mean a graduated cylinder, apologize for not being specific enough. And i am also at home, finishing the lab report, and do not have a graduated cylinder handy with me at the moment.
Answer: When you try and read the volume of liquid in a graduated cylinder, the liquid surface is not flat, it is concave upwards (like a shallow U). This is called the meniscus and is caused by the liquid wetting the material of the cylinder. By convention, the cylinders are calibrated and should be read by noting the reading at the bottom of the meniscus (rather than at the top or trying to see what the average is).

What is the probability of getting accepted to magnet schools from base school?
I am a base middle school student who submitted the application for magnet school lottery program for my next high school in Wake county, North Carolina. I have selected 3 choices. Is there a chance getting Accepted even to 1 school? What is the probability? Accept ion or Declination? Parents, What criteria do they really see? Do they see academic performance? Please, tell me how the chance looks like? I like if people attending NC schools post a comment
Answer: I lived in NC for about a year, sixth-seventh grade, and I knew there were magnet schools around. However, here, in New Jersey, there are five magnet schools in the area. For all magnet schools, they do look at academic performance, because their curriculum will be tougher and more specialized. But if you're in 8th grade, that's kind of all they ask for. State test scores and teacher recommendations (sometimes) are looked at.
