Is there a website with pictures of Henna tattoo designs?

I want to get a Henna tattoo kit but my mom wants to see the designs I plan on doing first. Also are they worth buying? Would you think that these are appropriate on a 15 year old as long as I: 1) Keep the tattoo itself appropriate 2) Keep it hidden during school hours 3) Dont put it on any inappropriate body parts.
Answer: There are many pictures of Henna Tattoos on the web. It can be easily googled and one of the first sites i found with many pictures is http://www.shophenna.com/Gallery.htm If you like body art then i would say they are worth buying. If you are a good artist or can make cool patterns then a kit would not be a bad idea. And as far as appropriate goes, if it meets your own three standards then i think it is a good form of expression for a 15 yr old.

How can I make my henna designs really precise?

Ive been trying out some henna, never done it before. I managed to get the paste a really nice consistency, but Im struggling getting precision so I can do really nice designs! I can doodle nice designs easily, but I just cant get those shapes to come out that nice with henna. Im using a tiny paint brush to do it. Any advice? Also, when you say paper, can this be normal computer paper? Wont it seep through?
Answer: Cones, carrot bags, and bottles will all give you a finer line to work with. Roll cones from cellophane (plastic gift wrap is perfect for this) or a similar plastic. Carrot bags are like cheap pastry bags, you see ones with green tops filled with orange jelly beans around this time of year, that's where they get the name. Or you can use small plastic bottles with fine tips you find in craft stores, similar to what squeeze paint comes in. If you want to use a brush, use the smallest one possible. Brushes are best for making lots of texture and shading in less detailed designs. Historically to make tiny lines some people used very thin sticks to roll up henna into long strands, and laid them on the skin and pressed them down gently. But rolling cones is much easier than doing it with toothpicks or the like.

Answer: To learn how to henna you have to have the neural imprinting. THis means your mind and body have to know how to draw a beautiful design with a good flow. I Start my henna artists out by having them trace a pattern many times, then switch to drawing it freehand, when you can draw it perfectly,then you can try using henna on a moving body. It takes lots of practice and can be lots of fun learning different patterns. Go to workshops, you could contact me for more info on upcoming workshops that might be in your area. How do you make a fine henna paste and get good designs?

I have henna from Saudi Arabia but I want to make a fine henna paste. I also would like some Henna designs to copy from. Please help. I dont want the designs to be too complex but I want them to look like the Indian designs. Thanks
Answer: You should follow the directions for mixing the henna that came with it. It if didn't come with any then you should simply mix it with water and a fresh lemon juice till you a thick yogurt like paste. To get the paste lump free it is best to put the water in the bowl and slowly add the powder while you are mixing it with a wire whisk.
