H i All, Recent i got offer from one of the reputed MNC in Singapore where in they are offering me a S$3k, I would like to know the lving cost and expenses and moreover can i save arnd S$1.5k/month. I am bachelor from India, Indeed i m earning arnd Rs20k here and is it wise to take up this offer for a better future ahead. Please help me to take decision asap. Thanks in Advance Bye bye
Answer: The basic cost of living in Singapore can be as low as a few hundred dollars a month. If you are not a huge spender, with a $3k salary, it is entirely possible to save up to $2k a month. If you decide to drive, take away $1k from the equation.

I have a Masters degree frm Australia. What are my options? He can add me to his application so I get an EAD and GC with him. But in the meantime, how do I stay in the US with him? I dont want to study to get a student visa. Will I be eligible for a H4 dependant visa? As I am not in a speciality field & relatively inexperienced, will it be difficult to find an employer to sponsor my H1B in April 2009? Once the employer has petitioned my H1B, can I work for him from April, or do I have to wait till Oct? I know University employees are exempt from the H1B cap. Does this include university marketing employees or just academic staff? - confused :S
Answer: If you are married to him then he can file a petition for u after he gets a Green card. If u are not married, then he cannot do anything for you since he is not a US Citizen.

Just wondering what its like to shop over there? Do they have big brands, like MAC Cosmetics, and all those design shops like Chanel? Is the retail price reasonably cheap in Australian Dollars? How about the flea markets? Worth going for a look? Recently i went to singapore, and picked up all these things like mac cosmetics and some other clothes from shops like H&M, Urban Outtfitters and all that, and they were all pretty cheap. So i was wondering if it was kind of the same deal in Bloemfontein?
Answer: Lol, I don't think shopping in Bloemfontein is as bad as some of the other answerers have made it out to be (they definitely do have cinemas etc) but it certainly isn't a major shopping destination, or major destination for anything else for that matter. I think their biggest mall is the Mimosa Mall (www.mimosamall.co.za) and Loch Logan Waterfront (www.lochlogan.co.za) and there are a few smaller malls. Their websites will tell you what shops they have. You might find a few designer stores, but don't set your expectations too high, as Bloemfontein is not a big city. Since the Australian dollar is stronger than the rand you might find prices cheap, but Singapore is probably cheaper. If you want a real shopping experience in South Africa, I would suggest the larger cities like Cape Town, Johannesburg or Durban.

How to become an airline pilot?

Hi, im 13 and want to become an airline pilot based at either Singapore, toronto or paris. on the singapore airlines site, it says you dont need a degree and theyll pay for your training, but competitions pretty high, so its probably best to get a degree (from uni of Toronto). what course should I take and do you have any other advice for me. Im one of the most intelligent people in my year, and can afford college fees. please can you say which airlines you work for, Im especially interested in working for lufthansa, air France, Singapore/malaysia airlines or qantas. Answer: They say a degree is not a requirement, but you definatly will need one as so many other people applying for the same job will have one. Concentrate on your all your sciences (bio, chem, phys) and your maths, these subjects are crucial to your job. Try and find a degree related to your future job at your choice of Uni. It is better to have a degree than not, because if you ever would not like to be an airline pilot then you have something to fall back on. Hope I helped.

Answer: You'd want to hit Orchard Road, the main shopping belt in Singapore. At Ngee Ann City, there's Zara, Mango and Guess. Opposite, at Paragon, there's Miss Selfridge. The other answerer mentioned Topshop, which is located in Wisma, right next to Ngee Ann City. For Roxy, you may want to try Quiksilver at Pacific Plaza (also in the Orchard area). Hop on over across the road to try your hand at mix and match at Far East Plaza. Skip the basement and ground floor. Go up the stairs and up the escalator. There's also a Quiksilver/Roxy outlet at the Heeren. I'd suggest looking around the 4th floor while you're there. If you're up to it (visiting all of 'em), try 'em in this order: Pacific Plaza -> Far East Plaza -> Wisma -> Ngee Ann City -> Paragon -> Heeren. Or reverse, of course. Read on if you have a sweet tooth. :P I recommend: - Black sesame ice cream from Azabu Sabo. - Cream puffs and cheesecake sticks from Beard Papa Sweets. Both are at the basement of Ngee Ann City. If you're unsure about the ice cream flavor, you can request to try it and they'd hand you a small sample of it. Oh, at Paragon, for desserts, you can try PS Cafe or Bakerzin's cakes. PS Cafe makes one of the best Oreo milkshakes around.

Answer: Nope, I think you will find that your father would have to have been actually born in Britian for you to get British citizenship by the ancestry route. When were you born? After 1947 - Its going to be near impossible you know - as for your mum? Listen - I have a Chinese wife and she needs 5 years right of leave even before applying for British citizenship - your mum might have the 'right of leave' but are you going to hop her on a plane to the UK and would immigration let you do that? I doubt it mate.
