How do I make my girlfriend feel better?
My girlfriends been working on college applications and she still is, which is cool, but I think shes overworking herself.
The last couple times Ive seen her, she looked exausted and worn out. I believe that the stress is getting to her.
Now, she doesnt want to spend time with me, saying that she will after shes done with her applications (they being due on Jan 2, 2006 at the latest). This is completely understandable, because she needs to get the work done.
I sent her flowers on Christmas Eve to cheer her up and make her feel better, which they did, but only temporarily.
I cant stand seeing her like this. She looks like shes going to have a breakdown soon.
This actually started when she applied early decision to Standford and got rejected. She says that this rejection has caused her to lose confidence and now she thinks that she cant get into any college.

Answer: She'll be ok. The stress she feels is temporary. If she is like me, she just needs time alone to focus and not feel like she needs to pay attention to other's needs right now. I bet she is a very giving person. She is being too hard on herself, though. Stress will make you say and do silly things. Maybe if you sent her a love letter telling her how much you love her and admire her strength and abilities. Let her know you are behind her 100% and can't wait to see her get into a college. Tell her you are proud of her for working so hard. Just basically do all you can to boost her up and make her feel special. Send the letter( hand written!) through regular mail. For some reason, and hand written love letter is always the best thing in the world to cheer up a gal! Good luck.

What are some countermeasures against Christian arguments?
***PLEASE read at least the last paragraph***
Visiting some religious family in 2 weeks or so, and I need to prepare to load my guns. They are southern Baptists, and I have announced to them I am atheist in March of this year, just to my mother but she told everyone she knows, lol.
I know for certain, without a doubt, that a religious debate will come up. I want to get them thinking and questioning their faith rather than blindly following it, so what are some countermeasures I can take against their, most likely, arguments for the existence of their god. They deny the Big Bang theory, theory of evolution, etc. and think that everything is too complex; therefore "Cosmic Magic Man" must of done it. They also think that dinosaurs existed until the middle ages and the legends of dragon slayers are proof of this (I know, Im embarrassed...). They also believe in off-wing christian things, like levels of hell, other humans existed before Adam and Eve, etc. Im sketchy on the stuff.
If anyone can point me to a website that I can go to to debunk the Creationist Christian arguments, they will get 10 points no questions asked; and I will be in your debt. More specifically, if you can point me to debunking the "God gave us free will thing, that would be awesome. If this helps, they are southern baptists.

Answer: You probably won't change their minds, because their position is not based on logic but on emotion (with a veneer of logic to justify it). Their position is also anthropomorphic, in that they keep imagining a magic somebody behind events.
You can argue against the existence of their god and of Jesus. Below are some useful websites.
A simple argument for evolution is shown in the 3rd website. It shows that our genes prove that humans and other great apes share common ancestry.
There's no reliable evidence for God/Yahweh, Jesus, Allah, Zeus, Thor, or any of the thousands of other gods that people have worshiped. If any of the major gods existed, there would be reliable evidence. There's also extensive evidence that they are all just myths, created to help soothe our fear of death, and perpetuated through religion to subjugate the underclass into obedience.
Science has shown that there's no need for gods to explain the traditional reasons for a god -- origin of the universe, origin of life, origin of species, origin of humans, origin of morality. Science also shows us the psychological reasons that people believe in god(s).
There's no reliable evidence that Jesus even existed. The story of Jesus is just a myth cobbled together out of prophesy and stories from the Old Testament and previous gods and myths -- created in the 40's and 50's by Paul of Tarsus (who exhibited evidence of epilepsy and had delusions of Christ talking to him), the other apostles, the unknown authors of the gospels in the 70's or later, and many other people. The reliable evidence for this is overwhelming.
Paul and the other epistle writers don't know any biographical details of Jesus' life, or even the time of his earthly existence. They don't refer to Bethlehem, Nazareth, Galilee, Calvary or Golgotha — or any pilgrimages to what should have been holy sites of Jesus' life. They also don't mention any miracles that Jesus was supposed to have worked, his virgin birth, his trial, the empty tomb, his moral teachings, his disciples, or even when he existed. To them Jesus was largely a sky-god, who existed in the spiritual past.
If Jesus had actually existed, Paul would have written about his life, disciples, and teachings. Paul did not write about any of this.
If Jesus had actually existed, the gospels would have been written in first person format. Instead, they were written in third person fiction format like a Harry Potter story, with Matthew and Luke extensively plagiarizing from Mark.
If Jesus had actually existed, at least one of the approximately 30 local historians of the first century would have written about him. No historian of the first century wrote about him or his disciples.
Therefore Jesus didn't exist.
Christianity is a death cult that emphasizes what happens after we die -- whether we end up happy forever or tortured forever. The mythical story of Jesus' crucifixion is a horrible, sadistic story of human sacrifice. Christians even celebrate it by ceremoniously drinking his blood and eating his body. This is ritual vampirism and cannibalism.
The idea of blood sacrifice for atonement (i.e. Jesus dying for other people's sins) is immoral -- punishing the innocent to free the guilty.

First note that an omniscient god can't have free will, because he would already know what he was going to do, and thus can't change his mind. In fact, an omniscient god can’t actually decide to do anything!
The idea of Yahweh's omniscience also brings into serious question the concepts of human free will and morality. If Yahweh knows what we are going to do then we have no free will and are just characters in a play created by Yahweh. Without free will, morality for humans makes no sense. Without free will and morality, any sort of divine punishment and reward system loses any justification. Heaven and Hell would be places where Yahweh could watch the souls he created, predestined for eternal happiness or agony.

I love old school Metal bands like Motorhead, Saxon, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden etc. Im just looking for more Thrash, Death and Black Metal bands. I love the old school stuff a lot though.

So i made a witch hunter,upgraded to slayer and then because of looks to witcher...thing is i dont really like his skills,so can i become a grand inquisitor instead of a professional witcher?And where is the Grand Inquisitor trainer?
Answer: the Grand Inquisitor trainer is at the castle at the 3rd town, the 3rd town is where you find your slayer trainer.
1) from the slayer trainer, move across the bridge, and move north.
2) you will see the swordsman trainer.
3) look to the left of the swordsman trainer
4) you will see a big castle, with 2 guards in front
5) move in between the 2 guards, and move up, towards that building, the building is to the left of the swordsman trainer, and south-west of the archer trainer.
6) you will be teleported to a area at the TOP-RIGHT CORNER of the WHOLE map
7) you will see the king there
8) look to the RIGHT of the throne, there's the Grand Inquisitor trainer.
NOTES: you must be a level 99 slayer to advance to inquisitor.
you must be a level 120 inquisitor to advance to Grand Inquisitor
BOTH inquisitor and Grand Inquisitor advancement are at the SAME place, the SAME trainer.

What are some good singers/bands/songs to listen to while working out?
In terms of singers/bands, I listen to Slayer, Metallica, Pantera, NWA, Guns N Roses, Dead Prez, Rage Against The Machine, Rob Zombie, Dead Kennedys, Bad Religion, etc. My favorite songs to hear while working out include Dyers Eve (Metallica), Threshold (Slayer), Natural Born Killers (Dr. Dre/Ice Cube), The Decline (NOFX),and Disposable Teens (Marilyn Mannson) among others. A lot of this music is angry and outspoken, and I find that it helps me both increase my energy and burn off stress.
What what you recommend to others? What music do you like when jogging, lifting weights or whatever?
Answer: Ahh someone who knows good music, Pantera is awesome. Alice and Chains is really good work out music or Nickelback. Some 80' music really has good uplifting energy.

A jw once told me.. adam and eve were kicked from the garden for blame. however does anyone agree on my reason?
Eve went to the tree of knowledge of good and evil which was where Satan made a snake talk and then eve took the fruit to Adam he ate and was not deceived and then they dressed with fig leaves which just so happens to be the same kind of tree Jesus withered. Anyway.. God asks Adam tells the truth however if he accepted his fate right there and then eve might have lived and Adam die for his sin. However how do you explain your nature to the angels after that? All free will would hafto be constantly entertained just to keep it happy once faith is lost (society for instance) so god has to ask eve is this true? Eve says the snake told me to eat and so i did. So god im sure asks Satan privately did the snake talk soo Satan then instead of saying no,it was i.. ( at this point perhaps the angels didnt even know of gods omnipresent as the bible says he made them only a little higher then man) so Satan says she lied it was the snake. So to prove Satan a man slayer Jesus had to come to prove its possible to love god and set your face against all and everything else.

Passions, Why didnt this soap get the recognition it deserved?
Ill admit that some of the story-lines got real outlandish in the latter seasons, like Vincent getting pregnant, but when Passions was in its peak, it really was the best show ever, besides, Passions was a supernatural show just like Buffy the vampire slayer and that show was a hit. It probably went down hill because they lost good cast members like Charity and Miguel. I always loved the story-lines and how they kept you hooked for so many years, like the Chad and Whitney brother and sister storyline, Charity stuck in a block of ice, Eves long lost son and secret past with Julian Crane, Sheridans nightmares from when she stabbed someone when she was a little girl, T.C.s secret about what was in his shed, Grace s amnesia, Kay hiding the fact that Ivy hired an impostor to break up her parents, Theresas lethal injection, Theresas Marriage to Julian Crane, Beth putting Sheridan in a pit and kidnapping Marty and passing him of as her own for 3 years, Alister turning out to be Beths real dad, Tabitha secret of being a 300 year old witch that wants to seek revenge on the decedents of the people who had her burned at the stake. I wish that someone would see what a great show this was and remake it as a prime-time show, and I bet it would be a lot better than Buffy the vampire slayer or Desperate housewives.

I watched it off and on and it always seemed to be partly a soap spoof partly a supernatural spoof
I liked bits of it but often the acting was not great( exceptions to me were Tabitha and Julian crane)
I got really turned off when they kept called Eve a whore/slut over and over- if I had been the actress I would have objected to all that- it seemed that is all the writers could come up with to say.
