How far is it from Perth airport to the city ?
I ve been watching the map of Perth and I see that the airport is pretty near the city or it just seems so?
Answer: the drive will take about 15 or 20 minutes depending on how much traffic is on the highway running past the airport in to the city

Answer: Spend a day in Fremantle, go to the Old Fremantle Markets (Friday - Sun), walk down High Road to the Maritime Museum Shipwreck Galleries (look at the Aboriginal Art Gallery), up to the Old Round House, down the left to the Fishing Harbour famous for its Fish and Chips.
You may also like to visit the New Maritime Museum actually in the harbour, they have a submarine you can explore. Fremantle Prison is good, but it takes a while to do the tours, the Fremantle History Museum, Samson House (Sundays only), Army Museum of WA, Village Art Market (Thursdays).

Things to do in Perth City
Perth Mint, Stirling Gardens, the Art Gallery of WA, The Swan Bell Towers & Swan River foreshore, catch the ferry to the Perth Zoo.
Kings Park is huge, you can spend a morning walking about, then have lunch or take a picnic and eat overlooking Perth city and the Swan River.
Use the free CAT buses to get around central Perth and Fremantle
You can also have a cruise up the river for a day trip or just a quick trip or have a ride on the Perth Jet Boats.

Cottesloe Beach is not far from central Perth, on a fine day go for a walk on the beach, eat lunch or dinner and watch the sun go down over the ocean, or you may prefer to start at Hillary's Boat Harbour & AQWA , both very good.

Rottnest Island - Just off our coast, the beaches are fantastic and there is a bus that takes you around the island, or hire bikes.
Rockingham is a small coastal village, you can catch the train/bus down for a day trip. Try to go to Penguin Island, home of the fairy penguin, walk along the river foreshore and have a picnic lunch (lots of nearby takeaway) in the foreshore park.

Im using public transport to get to the domestic terminal as its cheaper( i.e buses, train) and since theres no public transport to the international side. Need cheap transport between the terminals to meet someone flying in at the international terminal.
Answer: No it not for the general public and you will have to show your e ticket to board the bus. You will have to find other means of getting there.

i fly in from sydney at midnight and i am flying to bali at 4.30 so there is around 2.5 hrs to kill.. is there anything open? or anything close by?
Answer: Um....In a word, no. Sadly there isn't much nearby in that area, the casino is about 10 minutes by taxi and that would be your best bet for entertainment if you're old enough, otherwise Im afraid its the 24 hr maccas down the road.

Answer: The subway doesn't go to LaGuardia, but here's how you can get to Perth Amboy:
From LaGuardia, take the Q33 bus to the 74th St - Broadway station. Then take the "E" train towards World Trade Center and exit at the Port Authority - 42nd St station. Then catch a NJ Transit bus #116 (Perth Amboy) which will take you to your destination.

24 hours grocery store near Perth airport?

does anyone knows a good grocery store (and possibly a bottle shop) near Perth airport? We arrive Friday night and need to buy some stuff before morning. Thank you.
Answer: I think I'm a bit late in replying but unfortunately no, theres nothing there :( Your best bet is to go into northbridge, there are a few convenience stores open for basic needs (eg: toothpaste, toilet paper, bottled water) because its friday night and the clubs/pubs are open.
Not sure if Fresh Provisions in Mount Lawley is still open (24 hour convenience store) but may be worth a look on the way into northbridge (on beaufort street - next to the flying scotsman pub ... tell the taxi driver) :)
Best bet is to wait until Saturday morning :)

Transport from Perth Airport to the city?
Assuming that I am travelling from the Perth International Airport to the city and back to the airport, which would be cheaper if there are 3 persons travelling?
Taking the shuttle bus or taking a taxi (both 2 ways)….
Cause I heard that by taking the bus it will cost around $20-$25 while the taxi is around $30. But the bus journey is counted as per head while taxi is counted by per travel, am I right to say that??

$25 for bus is return (2way) $15 for one way for bus transport
Answer: $25 return for the shuttle bus per person.
Taxi will be about $30-35 each way or roughly $70 return for the trip. You will fit all 3 people plus luggage into a taxi wagon which is same price as normal sedan taxi. You could also use a maxi taxi (seats up to 7 adults) but price is ever so slightly more expensive.
So its either $75 on the shuttle bus or about $70 using a taxi.
Your choice I guess...I'd prefer the comfort and relative privacy of direct door to door service via a taxi.
But going on price alone...both options are about the same cost.

Answer: I'm going to the Sydney show on the 4th of July to see the show. I'm guessing it would be around afternoon to get ready for the show during the night. The Sydney show starts at like 8:30pm so the perth one probbably starts around then too.
I'm not sure on exact times and if your friend really wanted to see the superstars he would have to wait all day. The times change but it would be at around 12:00- 4:00 probbably. I don't know exact times though.

Sydney and and Melbourne both have larger terminals and they both use A-380s. Will Perth ever be alloud the A-380? And will Perth ever build a larger terminal so the A-380 can actually fit in?
Answer: Its more likley that Emirates or Virgin will use them. There has been talk of Perth becoming an Australian hub for one or both airlines.

Im flying into Perth airport (international) at 10:20am on a Sunday,would I have enough time to clear customs etc, catch a taxi to East Perth terminal (roughly 17ks away) and make the departing Indian Pacific train at 11:50am?
Answer: An hour and a half.
The taxi journey would be around 20 or so minutes at that time on a Sunday, so it all depends if your plane lands on time and how many other planes have landed just before you.
Basically you have an hour to land and to clear immigration and customs. It is possible, perhaps even probable, but it might be a bit tight. It even depends on whether there are any taxis standing on the rank when you arrive.

Answer: No unfortunately there is no 'free' shuttle but there is a few that will take you where you need to go for $8 to $15 so it is pretty good value considering it is a fair distance and a cab would cost about $90!
We also have a pretty good public transport system which you can get an all day ticket on for under $8.50 which allows you to travel around on bus and train all day!
