Im a singaporean staying in singapore and would be taking my os next year.Im currently pondering about what i should take in TP(temasek poly).Yes Poly,not JC,because i heard that is too stress and im not so academically inclined to get into the JC.. Im interested in desgining,fashion,make-up,abit of business,psychology.But i can only take up one subject.And i really hope that this subjdect i were to take would help me in my future career.. If i want to be a Beautician what course should i take? Is there any course that teaches hairstyling,make-up clothes designing? Does a interior designer earn more than a beautician?

how to be a vet after my olevels?

I desperately want to become a vet but because i "woke up" too late to study for my Olevels, i wont be having good Olevel results. Thus, is there any other way to become a vet other than going into the vet courses in Temasek and Ngee Ann poly ? Is there a private vet school in singapore? Or is there any vet school i can go to overseas?
Answer: The process varies from region to region, and I haven't got a clue what it is in Singapore. That being said, there are a number of 'private' vet schools out there that people sometimes resort to if they don't get in to the main stream ones. Generally, most of these aren't acredited by the governing body of the region (where I am, its the AVMA), so you have to write additional examinations when you're done before you're allowed to practice. I'll warn you though, its *very* expensive.

Advises on education and career route in psychology.?

Im currently in Secondary 3. Being very much interested in the psychology field, would taking up the psychology module in Ngee Ann Poly be more beneficial or in Temasek Poly which is opening up psychology as a new module in 08/09? Also, what educational route should i take after that? Like which university should i go to. I heard that for Psychology, a master degree would be mandatory for you to get a job out there, is that true? Also, would a psychology degree grant me a job in the army, those where i can actually work in the no.3 or no.4 uniform (without going through OCS :p) instead in civilian clothes with the MINDEF? Would there be other career prospects? and if i do, what part-time job would be helpful?
Answer: There are many routes that you can go with psychology-couseling, occupational therapy, human resources, and more. If you are looking for internship or get more ideas, I recommend you talk to your psychology professors. They have a wealthful of info and experience and can guide you.

Why is it such a big news and with so many people crying for her? What made her took the step? PS: i do not encourage or even respect those who end their life due to BGR. Its stupid and irresponsible. Stupid act of foolishness! Useless thrash and unfillial to their parents who brought them up with so much love. And to those who think i am being rude, I am saying what i said as a MOTHER of two kids. Having testimonials of all the good things a person did do not prove right ending their own life. And for asking questions here is because i see pages on social websites treating her like an angel which is obviously a negative form of encouragment to others to follow suit. And when i say useless trash...etc i was referring to common all and not just her so read it clearly.

hi there i am a new poly student from temasek poly. and i am very confuse abt the booklet and the letter which the school had sent me. cos in the booklet it says the camp and the workshop are not conpulsory but in the letter which i recently received said is compulsory. I am a person who don reali like to attentd all this by myself as i donn have any friends to accmpy me. so can anyone helps? thanks ......
Answer: I did not attend either. It is not exactly compulsory. It would be good if you could attend even for a day as you will make new friends. It is all about making more friends to ensure that you will be able to get through poly days. Temasek Polytechnic actually changes their class groups each time. Therefore knowing more people would definitely help. So go along and enjoy yourself. By the way, I do not like camps either !

Answer: Hi there, NTU certaintly has bookstores. It has 2 infact(one in it's south spine, and another at NIE). I have included the link below for NTU's campus. Do feel free to check it out. In Singapore, Which poly should I go to study Graphic Design?

Im interested in graphic design but I have no idea which poly should i go to. My mum wants me to go to Temasek Poly as it is near to my house but Im not really sure whether it is the best choice. Ive read all the different courses the polys offer but I cant tell which one is better than the other.
