when they talk about owl ask them when owls wake up
when it talks about cats ask them to make a cat noise and when it talks about clocks ask them to act like a clock,. at the end ask them what their favorite part was!

Is anyone else addicted to Alton Brown and Good Eats?
I just started watching food network sometime back in 08 because of my dad and his coworker who got him watching it and then he got me watching it. We stumbled across Good Eats and ever since then Ive been hooked. Alton Brown is a genius. The only word that comes close enough to describing him other than "genius" is "awesome". Seriously, now Im watching it like every day and I would do anything to meet him. I cant believe that Good Eats has been going on since the late 90s and that Ive missed it all these years!
Im sure there are a number of dedicated fans to the show and to Mr. Brown but is anyone else addicted to it? Alton Brown is now my hero. I dont even really care about the food, he just makes it so entertaining and interesting that I want to watch it and I want to learn. I know I must not be the only person who thinks this because Ive seen facebook groups dedicated to him and stuff proving my point. And someone else out there must agree that there is something about his geeky appearance, clever humor, and charming wit that makes him oddly attractive. Right?
Answer: I do like Alton Brown, his Good Eats show at Foodnetwork is very educational as he injects a lot of scientific explanations as to how/why/what/where food came to be. And he makes it so funny and easy to understand that kids can learn from him too. I just wished a lot of people who ask questions here would watch his show!
He really is oddly attractive with his wit and charm and geeky appearance, someone who I would want to talk to and learn from all day everyday. I would not date him though!

well a few months ago when petrol prices where almost £1.40 per lr all the gas and electricity companies said that because of the high cost of oil they would have to make large increases, l wrote in this column that l would bet that when oil prices fall these companies would not drop the gas and electricy prices as they should, well oil prices have dropped considerably petrol is 94p per lr, so what are they waiting for ? over to you Mr brown show some backbone ..does anyone agree with me or am l on my own again....J
Answer: Yeah, I agree.
The problem is the energy companies are very powerful. It isn't as easy as Brown introducing legislation but he could certainly put pressure on them.
Brown is very aware an election is coming up so hopefully this will motivate him. I doubt it though. He should have introduced legislation to limit borrowing for the last ten years instead of gaining political points based on a credit nation.
That is the real reason we are all suffering now. Ultimately, politicians are only interested in maintaining power and long term goals don't tend to factor into that.
Brown has bankrupted the country and sold off its gold reserves at a silly cheap price and we, the public, are left as slaves to debt.

Who shot Mr Brown?
In Reservoir Dogs Mr Brown dies during the getaway attempt. The scene starts with him crashing the car. After this point he has a bloody wound on his forehead. Is this a gunshot wound or was it the cause of the crash? Assuming it was it a bullet, was it a brain injury or a graze. At this point he appears to be aware but a little shaken. When Mr White unloads 2 pistols on the cops is there an extra gunshot in the background? Did Mr Orange execute Mr Brown? Studying the clip closely could possibly bring the point to question. Answer: mr brown was shot during the getaway, but didn't die right away, he was driving the car when he was shot and continued to drive until he could no more, this is why he crashed the car, he had the wound since earlier in the pursuit.

What to make of David Camerons show of support for Gordon Brown?
Yesterday, Mr. Cameron pledged his support for Mr. Brown in the current financial maelstrom.... What do you make of it?
Do we take it at face value that Cameron would like to put aside ideological differences in the face of an all-encompassing financial crisis, to help the country as a whole, or is there an ulterior motive?
Cynics could suggest he is trying to regain the huge lead the tories held in the opinion polls last month and paint himself nicely for his seemingly destined move into no. 10, or should we remember that much of the Conservative party is tied in with the city types - they are maybe looking after their own interests?
Your thoughts - all aboard please...
Answer: I think two things are going on here...
1.The Tories have been slated the last couple of weeks even by their grass roots members for doing nothing more than ridiculing and bad mouthing Labour at the cost of promoting the actual policy ideas they wish to implement . (Strangely no-one has been told what these are yet...) After a while this kind of tactic starts to look cynical and harmful so it's a useful change of tack.
2.Cameron has no answers to the current economic fiasco and has no cards to show for his 'big ideas' so IF he is elected in the next general election he is making it somewhat easier for himself by saying ' these are events beyond the control of a PM' It's a get out clause innit?
I am very sorry but any man who is prepared to carp on endlessly about his autistic son or his plastic holiday in Cornwall ( followed by a med yacht one) is well versed in ulterior motives.
To be fair to all politicians (even DC) I do wonder if the game is considered a necessary evil or whether they are willing participants in the quest for power.
I'm not a happy bunny :-(

Mr. Brown loses support of the Sun - does this mean the Cons. are the New Chelsea?
Anyone see that one coming? The Sun, as popular as it is with blue collar workers will always scarper when they find out a new leader of a party doesnt (or will not) adhere to their jingoism. The weird year of 1978 showed the Sun as it really is, when they thought they were - er...influencing the political thought patterns of you & me - but in reality were showing comical cowardice. Do they know exactly what the Cons. have in mind over the next three years?
The intelligent will probably be fearful of the massive Sun claim, as it basically means they will, in order to influence its current readers (and gain more) pick a few methods from their true right-wing stirring masters, the Daily Mail...and to make a couple of their points more stronger, have a look at the BNP pamphlet. Like football fans who jump from one team to another every few years (which many do nowadays) when things are not going their way, the Sun are once again playing fairweather fans. Can see their page three dears telling us in the near future they are hoping the Cons. can make a difference...as readers of the same paper probably still say lovely jubbly, old son!
Answer: The Sun makes a living out of selling hot air, so I'm sure they can work wonders with the Tory absence of content. Murdoch is a contemptuous snake, who never really supported New Labour; he supports himself and that's about it.
