So it seems likely that Maryland is about to pass gay marriage.......?
only to have a referendum placed on the ballot in November 2012.
Yes, 2012. Not 2011.
2011 = low turnout among youth voters.
If it were in 2011, Id be worried.
but 2012 = record high turnout among youth voters during presidential year.
Gay marriage foes dont stand a chance.
The biggest barrier to passing gay marriage in Maryland right now is getting it through the State House of Delegates.......which is expected to happen Friday. Once that happens, you can be SURE that gay marriage is coming to the state of Maryland, effective December 2012.
November 2012 will be an election that will result in the legalization of gay marriage, not only in Maryland,
but possibly in many other states; Oregon, Maine, Colorado, California.
Gay marriage foes: How can you win in November 2012 when the odds are stacked against you?
Answer: It's Maryland. You can count on the Democrat agenda getting a total pass no matter what.

what do you see happening in the next 10 years?
I think the youth will be far more socially liberal, but Im not sure that will result in corresponding fiscal liberalism. The "older" generation has basically bought wars and retirement on the youths future credit and Im not sure the youth will be happy about paying for it. That said, I think issues like gays, marijuana, and religion, will move vastly to the left.
Less ego driven. Social awareness will dominate this decade as opposed to the last one which were in a sense rather egotistical. Due in large part to the economic downturn. Young people will be more interested in civic work and politics and charities than becoming the next paris hilton. (As opposed to the 2000s)
Religion will lose its force. The tea party movement will largely fizzle out by the end of 2012 (And the end of our upcoming presidential election.) because most of them are Baby Boomers. The current younger generation (Roughly those between the ages of 16-30 right now. my generation) Seem to be less religious than their parents and even their older siblings. Also they may have been turned off of religion due to the Christian right. Also this generation is far more liberal on social issues such as gay rights, gender, and sex outside of marriage. Fiscally however they may hold a more libertarian stance.
A new musical force and style will come into play between roughly 2012-2016 that will be along the lines of The Beatles in 1964, Punk in 1977, Micheal Jackson in 1983, and Grunge in 1992 that will change the music industry and popular music for the era.
Your thoughts. Also it is a little early I know but this is what I am guessing on current trends. I dont think the new decade will really take shape as one completely different from the 00s until 2012 or maybe late 2011.
California is way overdue for a major earthquake. Look to see California hit hard in the next few years.
know this may seem a tad extreme and I might get some political conservatives that may disagree with me but so far I see Obama getting a 2nd term and Hillary Clinton getting elected in 2016. I just dont see Sarah Palin getting into the white house in 2012. I could see her on the ticket but in the end Obama will win a 2nd term.

Why islams becoming threat to christianity?
in this country funny things can lead to killing of pastors and their members. burning of their houses and shops.for instance 2006 denmark made a cartoon of muhammed of wich many christians were killed, among them was my father. when government said something they dont want or imam preached likewise will resulted on killing xtians. and llke in 2011 presidential post election violence erupted simply bcos their their candidate was defeated, which lots of xtian heard it. i mean xtians were killed, houses and churches were burned and xtians were not allow to rebuild.severe attacked have been visiting xtians on groundless reasons. muslims going so wild
Answer: Becoming???
They have been a threat ever since Islam was started. Have you not read about the crusades...Sure, everyone tells you how bad the Christians were, but read the story for yourself and you will find that the crusades were a response to hundreds of years of Muslim Jihad. Were there some bad things that happened in the crusades? Absolutely.....but If the crusades had not happened, we all would be Muslim now..........>

The French equivalent of the BNP knows a popularity never equalled. What do you think of this?
Hello dear English/Brittish/Brettons ( I never know which one to choose but I love your accent ^^)
The rise of Marine Le Pen in the polls worries her competitors.
1 of 4 French said to be ready to vote for her.
The new leader of Frances anti-immigration National Front party is more popular than President Nicolas Sarkozy, a new poll reveals today.
French National Front leader Marine Le Pen got 25 per cent in a recent poll !
Its her :
http://www.contrepoints.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/Marine-Le-Pen.jpg
Ms Le Pen, a mother-of-three, has softened the partys traditional anti-Semitism but continues to target Frances six million strong Muslim community.
After the results were announced, Ms Le Pen said they were an encouragement to continue to work and present our project to the French people, who are waking up.
She added: The French want a different kind of politics, they would like to have a proper choice in the second round - the choice between a national project and a global project as represented either by Nicolas Sarkozy, either by Dominique Strauss-Kahn or by Martine Aubry.
Ms Le Pen said she was convinced Mr Sarkozy, who had hoped to win over right-wing voters with a crackdown on immigration and a national identity debate, had lost the support of the French people.
Theres a trend that makes me think Nicolas Sarkozy is going to lose the presidential elections, she said.
I dont think he can climb back up. He represents such a disappointment and rejection by French people that I think hes already out of the second round.
ß > Thats right for her father. You can look here. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1347882/In-family-Le-Pen-daughter-Marine-named-new-leader-National-Front-party.html
Answer: Good for Le Pen. When governments fall to a greed fuelled traitorous insanity, as all EU member country's governments clearly have, then the people need a champion to speak out for their children's future. Islam should be, and eventually will be, chased out of the west, and back to the desolation that spawned it. In Britain, parliament/ the lib lab con. has become the true enemy of the people, the true terrorist threat. That terrible destructive trio has to be defeated before it drags Britain into the gutter. Unlike the French, the 21st century British have no fight, so its doubtfull that Islam will be defeated here. This will probably end up as Europes Ugly Islamic Island.

Do Democrats realize the consequences of their tax increases next year?
http://www.atr.org/sixmonths.html?content=5171
There are under 6 months remaining until the largest tax hikes in our history as the RINO Congresss tax cuts will be allowed to expire and the new Obama Health Care Taxes will take effect.
If Congress doesnt act now to repeal Obama Health Care and make the current tax rates permanent, they are going to repeat the very mistake that Herbert Hoover made at the exact same point in the 1st Great Depression (by the way, expect tax revenues to go down from these tax increases). If 2008 was 1929, 2011 looks to be 1932.
Herbert Hoover raised taxes drastically in 1932, resulting in the worst year of the 1st Great Depression. That year, he was repudiated so thoroughly in the presidential election that the Republican Party was out of power for a generation, even after the FDR administration proved to be a complete failure. Are Democrats aware that they face not just defeat in 2010 and 2012, but potentially the annihilation of their party until the 2030s if they persist in their current desire to wreck our economy? Look at the history of the 1930s. If the Democrats bring unemployment up to 20-25% next year with their tax increases, they are not going to be able to win elections, no matter how much the Republicans screw up this country over the next generation and it will be Barack Obama who goes down in the history books as the 2nd coming of Herbert Hoover.
Answer: They don't care, we're sunk for now. We have to vote them out in November & hope Republicans/conservatives can vote to defund some of their reckless stuff.....

Is Ron Paul going to get shafted by Fox News this election too?
Email Bomb: Counterattack Against FOX Debate Poll

Fox News is once again showing its true colors as it attempts to manipulate public perceptions of the GOP race. The 5/5/11 GOP debate was followed by several instances of attempted poll manipulation. Fox released a poll shortly after the debate to which Ron Paul was the clear winner with 56.64%. After the results, Fox removed this poll and added a new poll, seemingly in an attempt to benefit their network favorite, Herman Cain. Once again, Ron Paul wins, and once again the poll is dropped for a new poll. This would occur again after Paul won the first, second, third, then fourth poll release by Fox, clearly showing Ron Paul was the winner of the debate. Yet, no mention of Pauls win(s) after these various polls.

From tribute_13 over at RPF:
ATTN! It is not news to anyone that FOX has been doing what they do best. Spinning Ron Pauls victories into defeat. Paul has won the last three post presidential debate polls and FOX keeps taking them down and replacing them with new polls to skew the results. We need to do something about this. It wont take but a few minutes. Ive done all the work for you. Copy and paste the email addresses and the letter and screenshots and send this letter to the offices of FOX news and any other outlets you feel will help us in our fight against unfair and unbalanced media coverage.
Alright guys, you know what to do. Its that time of year again where we begin our fight against the medias attempt to subvert our efforts and smear our name and our candidate. Posted below is a list of emails and some screenshots to attach to the email. Heres the letter:
To the Offices of Fox News,
After the coverage of the presidential debate on May 5th, we’ve monitored the polls closely in regards to our candidate of choice, Congressman Ron Paul from the 14th District of Texas. Throughout the past two days, we’ve noticed an attempt at subverting the results. After the clearly orchestrated focus group concerning Cain by Frank Luntz during Hannity’s post show coverage, Ron Paul won the poll with more than 80%. Despite the focus group members, Ron Paul still won the South Carolina straw poll after the debate, the state in which the cross section of voters was misrepresented on Hannity Thursday night.
When the post presidential debate poll was taken down in order to push Cain and reset the results, Paul still dominated the poll. After subsequent attempts to reset the polls, Paul has been and still is the leading candidate concerning who won the presidential debate on May 5th. The Ron Paul base has been monitoring this and has withheld a formal address of the activity going on at the “Fair and Balanced” offices of Fox. However, after the third poll was taken down and the fourth one was put up we question when Fox will finally give up on trying to isolate the very real and relevant wing of the republican party that wants to see a return to sensible foreign policy, a return to the moral fabric that made America the great country it is today, and a return to true fair and balanced coverage of differing opinions. We as a nation should pride ourselves on logic, merit and values, and this clear indignation against the Paul camp is contradictory to your organizations mission statement.
Our power to spread these issues among others is the main driving force behind this campaign and request that FOX address these inconsistencies with the polls and give an explanation as to why the polls are continually replaced. We request the poll results be shown and that no new polls replace the current results. All we ask is that the poll be allowed to continue and naturally yield a fair cross section of the opinions of the people.
The public watched the debate and have continually made up their mind that Paul had the strongest showing. His common sense approach to foreign policy and his experience with the U.S. economy makes him the only viable candidate, but much like the philosophy of the great Doctor, it’s not your job, nor ours, to influence or force certain ideologies on anybody. Let the polls stand and let the American people decide. Quit thinking for us.

Answer: Well yes there is a huge gap between the fading generations and the youth right now. To tell you the truth I can`t stand many people over 40 right now, they are not on the ball and have different fears. What age group hires the illegals in the first place even if I did care they are here? One thing we have to watch out for is Republicans pushing to raise the retirement age on the youth in the name of fixing social security but all we will get is a larger worker pool with lower wages. But I have a feeling that the youth will soon go into survival mode. Here is what is coming and here is a option out.

Chasing out Egypts Islam Progressive rule for Islamic conservatism, what are your thoughts?

Egypt islamic progressive regime and people could have sustained control but left on the beckoning of the West (which is in contrast to Libya). The Muslim Brotherhood is currently chasing after 50% of their legislative branch, with potential of launching a presidential bid as well. With conservative estimates they are expecting gains of at least 30%.
The Muslim left/right is different from both the Euro and American spectrums, but what do you think Egypts future will hold? I am curious because their are plenty of recent examples of rogue departures and radically changing alliances with these kind of results, I am also not placing any value which way at this point, but I digress, what are your thoughts on the subject?

Also, Blacks, Hispanics, and Asians are becoming increasingly more of a majority than Whites meaning more liberal! :)
Answer: I see the youth of today as being more cynical about organized religion, but not necessarily lacking in spirituality or religious belief. Church membership may decline, but I don't believe religion can be ruled out just yet. As for fiscal responsibility, I don't necessarily see that happening either. The younger generation is very entitlement minded. As such, they may not be as willing to come around to fiscal responsibility in government as one may think. Music is cyclical. What's old usually becomes new again, rinse, lather, repeat.

Answer: Actually, I agree with almost everything you said! The whole ego thing and our case of cynicism is possibly true. As for the music thing, I really hope it does happen and that I can be part of it! Listening to the obscure bands I do, it makes me hope more than anything that my lyrics might get me somewhere.
